eBay won’t let me add my bank!

They won’t let me add my bank I just get a response that tells me there is something wrong and go try again later. Not only that but they double charged me for a shipping label. I’ve had over a hundred bucks stuck in my account for well over a year because of this

Make sure your account is a checking account; the name must match exactly, including any middle initial. Make sure you are using the correct ACH routing number -- not necessarily the same as the routing number on your checks. You must use a street address, not a PO Box.

I am in the same boat.    A red banner is blocking me from adding my bank account!   My payouts are held up of over $5000     : (

Having the same issue too.  Red banner of death.
Was trying to add a credit union account for months, and support keep telling me "we're working on it, and trying again later" Today, they flat out said "just use a different bank account". So I created a new account with Capital One, same error. Support said try again in 12 hours.

Funny thing is I am currently using a Capital One account as my payment method; I just want to replace so I can keep eBay funds separate.

I've tried different browsers, private mode, different computers, different ISPs, log in method, manual method. Same error.

Me too.  I've tried everything trying to add my credit union and ebay says my account number is off or that the credit union adds some prefix numbers to the account which is not true.  Ebay blames my credit union, yet my old account was linked to ebay with them and no problem.  The blame game continues.  This is ridiculous.  Always have trouble with EBAY.... They are terrible

when MP began, they would not accept a credit union............don't know if that still holds true or not.

I’m using capital one as well but it wouldn’t let me add my checking which it asks for but allowed my savings account to be added as the bank account without an issue it’s weird

I had this problem with eBay not accepting my bank account.  After contacting the eBay payments team, I had to get a notarized paper from my bank stating that the account was my account and showing all my account information, business and personal.  I forwarded a copy of that notarized paper to the payments team and they finally accepted my account.

Same thing has happened to me. I have 2 checking accounts and I am unable to add either account. I sold an item for $55 and can't get paid. I canceled all my other listing because I've been trying to add my bank account for payouts for weeks. I contacted customer service, and they could not solve the issue. They told me to try to add my account in another 48 hours...it still doesn't work. I have many items to list, but there is no point cause I can't get paid. Absolutely ridiculous!

Some things that may help with linking or editing your bank account for Managed Payments:

Go to https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin and click on edit your payout method. Click on the "+" Add payment option. Select the bank and click continue. Add the new bank, which will overwrite the old bank information.

Instead of selecting your bank from the pull down menu, scroll all the way to the end and click on "My bank is not on the list" to enter the information manually.

Make sure you are using your bank's preferred ACH routing number for online deposits, as it often is different than the one preceding your account number on your checks.

Make sure your name is exactly the same on your ebay account as it is on your the bank account. Change the ebay name if needed, you can change it back later.

Some Credit Union accounts have a problem as does some Bank of America accounts, but usually it is the routing number that is the problem.  Call your bank and ask which one to use for ebay.

I tried many, many of the things mentioned here repeatedly when I went through this last year.

Ultimately, this is what worked for me: make sure your name at eBay exactly matches your name on the specific account you'll be using at your bank/credit union (note that different subaccounts could have a variation of your name on your main account; mine did).

Then, the all-important second step was getting a letter from my credit union that verified my name and account number and submitting that letter to eBay. That was the ONLY thing that worked for me. Changing everything to match, verifying with representatives...none of that mattered until I submitted the extra documentation. After that, it went very quickly!

Can't either. All accounts are rejected. And can't deposit to Paypal or Venmo. Ebay's a joke.

I just got off the phone with Ebay reps. My issue is the routing number. Ebay has declared some routing numbers to hot for fraud (I'm with BofA) so your SOL if that is your case. ONLY option? Open another bank account. Absolute insanity. I asked how I am supposed to know if the new account will have an accepted routing number? No answer really - he told me Chase looks good right now ....

@crescentmoon928  Call BOA and tell them what's going on.  They likely have another routing number you can try using.
