Today went to print a shipping label for a guitar being shipped in a hard case and ran into the posted issue.
At auction creation I had entered the weight and dimensions of the package being shipped and selected ONLY FedEx Ground/Home Delivery (flat $50 charge)
In trying to buy a shipping label, eBay only allowed USPS options (including flat rate envelope, somehow they think you can fit a 49" x 18" x 5" guitar case in the "12.5" x 9.5" envelope.....
All other options (FedEx/UPS) were greyed out due to the "This service is unavailable due to insufficient eBay funds balance." I then setup my paypal account as payment option...it made no difference, I also have a bank account and debit card linked to my eBay funds account and in the past and as it states by using "Your Funds" : "We'll deduct the amount of this transaction from your funds. Any balance due will be charged to your Bank Account ending in XXXX, or you can select a different payment method."
This was a problem back in 2020 the first time I sold on eBay. It is still a problem today.
I talked to a chat helpdesk member, and ended up telling them how eBay works instead of getting help from them.
Their first "solution" was to select the USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope. Yeah no....
The helpdesk member would not give me a email address to send screen shots or desktop capture in for their webmaster to address the scripting issues they are having. It should be a simple fix, yet it still persists.

Having same issue today with only USPS option and want me to cram a 22 x 22 x 6 27 lb server into a flat rate envelope. I see ebay wasn't responsive or any help from the community. Curious if you were able to resolve this. Seems like this issue may stem from many ever since they got rid of paypal and decided to have full access of our bank accounts. As a 20 year seller, these recurring obstacles make it difficult to adhere to the customer service we promise and when we fail as in this instance, we pay the consequences. Appreciate the reply.
