Hello,
Starting from today ebay Search Results no longer showing Seller ID, only generic word "Seller". Is it a technical issue or intentional change? Is it a technical issue or intentional change?
Thank you.

Just as another data point- cleared cookies and cache in Edge for a fresh test, not logged in, and in both regular and private browsing windows I am only seeing the generic "seller" display instead of actual IDs.
So that makes 3 different browsers with a variety of logged in/not logged in/different accounts/incognito all with the same experience and clearing cookies and cache has not fixed the issue on any of them for me.

Are you able to see seller usernames when searching on ebay.ca or ebay.com.au?

The same thing here.
I run 125+ searches & category browses
twice a day beginning at 8 am & 4 pm.
This started in the middle of my 4 pm chores.
The first dozen or so were fine but then all the
seller IDs were replaced with "Shop with confidence."
This is not a glitch, it has to be a deliberate change on the part of ebay .
It also has the ripe stink of an ebay beta test.
Given ebay's recent "improvements" to the search system,
I don't hold out much hope for a rollback here.
Ebay seems to be determined to make the search system as foggy as possible for the buyer.
They are now actually hiding the seller from the buyer, to the detriment of the buyer.
To ID the seller, the buyer will now have to click on each & every item.
I suspect that these "clicks" somehow become money for ebay
or at least a statistic they can use to pump up their corporate value.
This will also make it harder to identify Bulk Listers
and add them to your blocked seller's lists
within browses & searches.
I checked the "Customize" results form
and "Seller information" still appears with a tic box
but toggling that does nothing to provide
actual seller information on the results pages.
I have followed the suggestion of wastingtime101
and filled out the "Tell us what you think" link.
But again, I hold out little hope.

Great thought @eburtonlab ! On CA and UK I am still able to see seller usernames but on AU I am seeing the generic "seller" and "shop with confidence" display just like the main US .com site.

I've tried different browsers, incognito and private modes - no luck. The generic "Seller" label obscures the actual seller's identity, making it difficult for buyers like us to assess credibility. How can we "Shop with confidence" with anonymous seller with 0 feedbacks???

I'm on .uk which is showing seller names. If I change to .com the same search now just shows "seller".

eBay's search has been customized to show the Seller IDs, however it is displaying the words 'Seller' in place of the actual Seller IDs.
Edit: never mind! I don't have it customized to show the seller ID. It shows nothing where you're red boxes are.

I was having the same issue but followed others' advice to clear the browser cache and delete eBay cookies. I then restarted my computer and now it's back to normal and I can see the sellers' i.d.s.

Same issue here, there are sellers i use as last resorts that i can't block but need to be able to see, this change is just another nail in the coffin for ebay and stinks of "increasing engagement" by making people click on 200 listings instead of just reading the search results so i can avoid sellers who have historically lied.
just stop removing information from your results page, it's not hard, it's not going to save you money on db calls.

to make matters worse you have also removed the country of shipment origin from the search results in the same misguided update
old vs new

Can we get a formal response on this please? Is this universal obfuscation of seller information intentional or accidental? This change is catastrophic.

"Try a private or incognito browser window. If you can see seller usernames in search, then the issue is tied to the browser history and can likely be fixed by completely clearing the cache ("for all time" if that is an option) and by manually deleting just the eBay cookies and then restarting the browser."
No bueno, unfortunately. Cleared all cache and cookies, restarted computer, tried Incognito window from both authenticated (logged in) and nonauthenticated states, and I cannot get seller names to come back.
At least for now, I'm stuck with this abomination.

From what I posted in a different thread:
This is completely bizarre.
I have:
1. In Chrome (for the second time) cleared cache, deleted ALL cookies, restarted computer, and tried Incognito window from both authenticated (logged in) and nonauthenticated states. Cannot get sellers to appear.
2. Tried in Firefox using a different eBay account. Deleted cache and cookies. Cannot get sellers to appear.
3. In Microsoft Edge (which I *NEVER* use for anything) I can see the sellers, both anonymously, and logged into my primary account.
So maybe this is idiotically predicated upon browser user-agent rather than anything in cookies or cache?
What a mess.

Great catch @serf_tide but yikes, that's not good at all!

Maybe this is the first step of where buyers are given the appearance that sellers are just suppliers and it's eBay that's selling everything.
Personally I think this will just soon disappear with little to no explanation from "eBay", like many other laughable ill thought out trials.
