For years we have used Microsoft Access to keep track of our eBay active listings and reconcile everyday so that we don't have a problem with missing inventory. Last Friday (8/21/25) we noticed our count was off by a couple listings. On Sunday we were off by 6 listings and 14 items.
We downloaded eBay's active listing CSV and ran a Ms Access Query- we found that eBay's Active Listing CSV matched our MS Access Database Active Listings Count! - however our eBay webpage active listings was still off by 6/14 listings.
We also understand the active listings changes as listings end and are renewed. Also we haven't ended any listings nor have any unsolds. Are we missing something?

When listings are renewed they do not always become active immediately. My number of active listings fluctuates by more than what you are observing on days that I have over 100 listings renew.

I see similar fluctuations in our Active Listings page - another of my top 50 items I would like to see addressed- show active listings with renewals and an actual true listings count (there is room in the summary bar).
Back to our missing 6/14 listings- still off after a week plus.
Thank you for your answer and your time, WMD

It took nearly a month, but our numbers are now back in line...?

Did this also seem to affect your total active and sold amount?:

I can't see your renewal times, but my guess is that with over 3,100 listings you almost always have something renewing at any given time. There might be only small gaps where the count actually catches up and shows accurately before more listings renew.
If this is really what's happening, your count will fall out of sync again soon.
