I have possibly the slowest access on the planet (and I'm exaggerating only slightly). I actually share wifi with my next-door neighbors. It's their wifi account (and all the equipment is at their house), and I pay part of the bill for access.
My pages, including log in, are loading fine.
I'm not saying you don't have a problem. I'm just offering up that it's not universal.
