Not sure why ebay customer service is so poor I'm going to quit. I recently bought a couple items with make an offer only to find the items were never delivered. When I noticed the seller said "delivered", I never received them. Then I noticed that my ship to address was some invalid DE address even though I live in CA. Needless to say, I'm posting because ebay won't accept responsibility for this even though I have no reason to change my address to some random nonsense address that doesn't exist. The seller is equally mad because they think I entered that wrong address. I tried explaining that I would have gotten an email stating that I updated my "shipto" address which obviously didn't happen. I have since changed it back to CA but ebay pretends like I'm the only one that could have changed that address

Possibly your account has been hacked; most likely the address is a freight forwarder.
Delete the incorrect address and make sure your correct address is set as your default shipping address.
Check your other account details closely, particularly your email address and phone number. Change your password, and your email password. If you have social media accounts linked to your eBay account change those passwords as well or unlink them.

You are the only one that could have changed that address. Sorry if that's not what you want to hear. You buy very infrequently so you could have changed it quite a while ago and forgot.

Did you ever live abroad and used a Freight Forwarder for your packages? Just curious, since Delaware...
You might want to check all of your addresses under your Account Settings.

Thank you for your responses. You're better than eBay. I've never lived abroad, never used a freight forwarder and others seem to think that I'm the only one who can change this. Once again, if that were true, I would have an email stating I changed my address in my email records. When I pointed this out to eBay, they simply refuse to believe me. Since changing my address back from Delaware to California, I indeed got an email saying my "shipto" address was changed. That's how I know eBay is lying.

You, or someone else with access to your account. Such as a hacker.
Once again, if that were true, I would have an email stating I changed my address in my email records.
Not necessarily. Someone with access to your eBay account could also change your communication settings, or change the email address associated with the account to hide such messages. Someone that gained access to your email account could use that to gain access to your eBay account, and also delete such email messages.

This information is 100% incorrect... My account was hacked and a "Freight Forwarder Address was entered" I am now out $260.00" eBay is far from perfect.
