I've had my account on eBay for over 14 years and have actively bought from the site since then. I have had an issues previously where my account was hacked and some item was listed for sale. Ebay had resolved all that I thought though there was some fee about a sellers tool they said they would clear up multiple times. I'm not sure that has anything to do with what happened today though.
I suddenly received notice that serval of my "bids" had been canceled. This included 2 items that were paid for and are already shipped as well as some items that have been delivered many weeks ago. I received these messages to my Gmail account but there is no messages on eBay mentioning any of this. I always use Buy It Now and always pay right away. I was able to speak with chat and the agent John Estanly was of no help. He basically said my account was canceled and couldn't be reinstated and when I asked for some clarification he basically said we are done here bye.
I was thinking maybe others were having this issue but checking the boards it doesn't seem like a widespread issue. Now it seems I cannot use the chat with agent or community board feature to talk to anyone further about this. Does anyone have any clue what could have happened? Were the canceled bids what caused the restriction (John said that was part of it) or perhaps eBay canceled the bids based on the restriction of my account for something else? I've only ever had positive feedback and use eBay frequently so I am pretty upset about what is going on right now. I'm not sure if I should contact PayPal about the bids it says are canceled that show paid.
Anyone with any helpful advice would be appreciated.
