Hi, I believe I’ve found a technical issue in how eBay handles international tracking from Brazil.
When I ship my orders using Correios (the official Brazilian postal service), I always receive a valid receipt showing the item was posted and this same "Item Posted" status also appears on the official Correios tracking website, confirming that the package was handed over to the carrier.
However, eBay’s system does not recognize this scan as valid, and continues to show “You need to ship this item.” Later, it applies a late shipment defect, even though the item was shipped on time.
Important notes:
The “Item Posted” scan = official confirmation that the item was accepted by Correios
In Brazil, tracking only starts after the item is posted — label creation alone is not enough and doesn't apear on official site
It doesn’t make sense for a postal system to activate tracking on a package it hasn’t received
eBay appears to be relying only on the label creation time, which is incorrect
This is affecting all of my 2025 shipments
I’ve tried contacting support multiple times, but only get automated/template replies. No one has reviewed the actual scan data. I also posted this issue in the Shipping section of the forums to see if anyone could help, but so far, I haven’t found a solution.
This is really hurting my seller metrics and making it hard to run auctions.
I truly don’t want to leave eBay — my business here has been growing and it’s helping me a lot. I just want this issue to be taken seriously and fixed.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help or guide me.
André
