eBay Messages Not Loading

Anyone else having issues with messages today? I have 2 messages from buyers, it took forever just to get the messages inbox page to load and then when I clicked on one of those messages, I got this:

Other websites are working fine and other parts of eBay are also working fine, so I don't believe it is something local to my computer or network.

I couldn't get a message to open this morning while in Seller Hub and also trying to open it by choosing Messages from My Ebay up above while in the community.

I went directly to eBay . com and tried and then it worked but was sort of slow but did eventually open.

I can't get my messages tab to open to see the inbox, and I can't get a message where I'm trying to respond to a buyer to post.  It just sits there.

Same problem here.  Kind of used to working on ebay now.  Everyday,  you just wait for the next thing to fail.  A few days in a row shipping labels have been having problems as well.  

Probably the result of some new changes to "help" buyers have a better experience.  

Of course communication and actually being able to get their packages should be one of the highest things on the list.

No idea if that is useful in this particular case, but it has worked in at least one case where a message inbox was otherwise inaccessible.

Glad you posted as I was just about to. Yes, I am having technical issues with messages or questions from others. When I click to reply I just get the empty reply window and cannot see the question posted below. I have tried many other ways to try to get it to show up but nothing. Why so many technical problems with eBay in the past 2 months? I am an IT Mgr of 25 years with one of the largest companies in the world and this would not be acceptable. Sounds like eBay is contracting out too much of their work as this is when you normally have issues like this. Terrible. Amazon never has these problems and eBay wants to assimilate them? Not a chance with these petty issues. Sounds like the new guy is messing up.

@oldwestgold  - We've seen issues with messages not loading due to an error loading the thumbnail image from the item.  Sometimes you have to reload the message page multiple times before you get the text box to actually type a reply in.  That issue was reported to eBay in one of the weekly chats and then had a follow up thread posted in the Power Seller section back in August but eBay has not fixed it yet and has no updates on the issue.

When I click on messages it clicks back to home screen.  I used the link provided which I can see messages but when I click on reply takes be back to main screen and I click on messages and nothing happens.

Are you using a mobile browser? If so, try requesting the desktop site version of the page before opening messages.

If not, or if that does not help, try another browser.

I went to my messages this morning and there was one there from a seller that I need to respond to.

I get to work this morning and it is showing that i have no messages at all.  On the laptop and on the app.

Needs to be fixed.   So aggravating.

Is the user that sent the message still registered? Try sending a message from the user's feedback or profile page.

If the user is no longer registered, you will not be able to send a message. In some cases, eBay may suspend a user for sending spam or scam messages.
