I noticed today that eBay has moved all of my polo shirts to "Clothing, Shoes & Accessories, Men's Clothing, Shirts, Casual Button-Down Shirts." They are not "Button-Down Shirts"!!! I'm afraid to even look at what else is broken. I also noticed when you list a new item in Men's Shirts, none of the item specifics work. You can add the specifics, but when you go back to check your listing, they're all gone, so nothing saves. OMG how does eBay continue to break things? Does in-house Beta testing happen before going live? If so, those in charge are failing. I'll now hit "Post" for this rant and wait a month or so for eBay to post another, "We're sorry" message once they realize they can't blame it on user error, or a very isolated case, etc., etc., etc. I'm sorry, but enough is enough.

I'm having issues too with item specifics -
changed all my jeans to 'high-waisted' and dropped some other specifics
changed my athletic clothing to 'active wear' where there are no item specifics!
Please help - is there somewhere I may go to see when these type of changes are going to be made by eBay so I may prepare.

Similar issue here. I was editing a listing for a Mens Polo Shirt and eBay threw it into the Casual Button-Down category, and gave me just 3 Item Specifics: Color, Sleeve Length, and Pattern (I think). When I re-categorized it as a Polo Shirt, eBay elimnated ALL of the Item Specific drop downs.

I just finished the edit, and sure enough, its been tossed back into Casual Button-Down Shirts, with Zero Item Specifics attached. How the heck is a potential customer supposed to find what they're looking for?! Arrgh.

Same thing here too! In fact, I checked on here to see if any other sellers were having the same problems. We can't list, we cant sell, and if we can't sell, no final value fees, etc. for ebay!

Appears to be happening on the Polo shirts as it happened to me as well
First time I revised it didn't stick, 2nd time it did stick to the Polo category but since I have switched categories it wiped out all the item specifics which is creating more work.

Not sure why they are dumping Polo shirts into Casual Button downs
Also seems many are having issues with no item specifics in alot of these categories.

Can you give Brian from ebay a few of your Polo shirt item numbers that are under the wrong category.
I didn't have many & revised mine already so they are under Polo Category already so my examples won't help him.

Seriously? Every shirt I have listed is now in the wrong category. Additionally, you can pull almost any polo on eBay up and see it's in the wrong category. Example, search "Men's Footjoy Polo" and then pick one and see what category it's listed in. It'll be in "Casual Button-Down Shirts." I'm confident all of these sellers didn't suddenly forget they their shirt was a polo and list it as a button-down shirt. Now, if I can do that little bit of research, why can't eBay? The take away from this reply is this isn't a couple of inexperienced sellers having an isolated issue, this is across eBay and me sending an item # isn't fixing a system wide issue. Yeah, I'm frustrated.

You have to go in and edit it. Also the item specifics are gone. No drop down boxes. I also had 40 shirts in drafts went in to add pics and list and all item specs are gone had to redo each one. And have to type Brand....Kiton etc...........Waste of time. Also listed themm and half are completely gone poof. What a joke

Here's a specific one, as requested:

332741153693

Ralph Lauren Polo Big Pony man's shirt. It was listed under "Mens Shirts - Casual Shirts" category a couple days ago with Style Item Specific of "Polo/Rugby". (Double checked it with my Inkfrog library saved copy of the listing to verify that it was indeed listed that way.)

It is currently shown with category Mens Shirts - Casual Shirts Button Down. A polo shirt is obviously NOT a button down shirt.

When I tried to revise it to just casual shirts it only allowed me 3 item specifics, so I left it as it currently is. Again, a polo is obviously not a button down, so this has got to be confusing to potential buyers, if they can even see the listing at all when searching.

Hope this helps you get this corrected.

As a buyer, 2 out of 3 new saved searches of button down shirts are gone and the third one brings up 1.5 million shirts, when previously it was around 400. So, now, without filters, searches are futile

I had the same thing happen when I tried to relist a shirt. It changed what used to be casual shirts to button down. The listing was for a polo shirt, so I had to manually change it to polo and then all the item specifics vanished. I was forced to add them all back one at a time. A very long process. Of course I have no views on the shirt now!

I just found another one item number 273378861416. Evidently this is just the tip of the iceberg. No one looking for polo shirts is going to find these. So tired of all the glitches. Stop changing things around and fix what is broken please!

Mine I already changed to correct category so mine won't help you

But as the poster who started this thread has said just look at their items all of their Polo shirts are under the wrong category .
