ask a mentor

I was trying to answer a question on the Ask a Mentor board.  There was a box for me to reply.  I clicked on it and started to type.  The box then disappeared.  This happens each time I try to reply.  I believe I received an invitation a while back and accepted.   Am I 'allowed' to reply to this board?   After 8 years here, I have lots of knowledge to share!

I'm sure you can reply to posts here.  Try it and find out.  I know the Mentor Board is different than the other forums and has qualifications to be able to post there, but if you were already invited and accepted to that board, I would not know why you can't reply there.  Perhaps the rules changed between the time you accepted and now.  ??  Not sure.  Post the question on that board if you can.

Are you a mentor?

An invitation is not enough. You must have been "approved/accepted" to be able to post on the board.

At one time I knew how to find "the list" of mentors, but it presently eludes me.

I'm afraid that you are not on the list of current Mentors.

To see if someone is considered a Mentor, just click on their user ID when they post on the boards, and it will come up displaying their activity and show various badges.

Hi @buyselljack2016, There used to be a page that listed all the mentors.  You didn't lose it, it didn't make the cut during the most recent board refurbishing.
