Why are some of my listings missing their descriptions

I noticed the other day when I was revising a listing that the description was blank. And I saw that the extra pictures were now on the side instead underneath the main picture. I am going through all my listings now and have found 14 so far that the description is blank. Come on eBay stop making more work for me!!!

I noticed that you are still using the old Store template ... that may be why eBay is hiding your descriptions.

The old templates are not mobile friendly.

I've had descriptions disappear in the past. Yesterday this issue began to happen again.

When I try to revise my page wont fully load the description.. This started a few days ago for me.

It just started happening to me too. The more Ebay changes things the more they make it worse. I don't use a mobile and do all my stuff on a computer. I spent an hour listing every book in a lot set of 50 and its condition only to find that after I created the listing that all that information in my description was completely gone. What a waste of time. The problem with Ebay is they want to shove all this new stuff like new templates and managed payments in our face without testing them first. Every time they try to go forward they go more backwards. I just heard that Shopify actually did more sales in the last quarter than Ebay did. I might have to look into them after this debacle.

We've called eBay four times regarding this issue. They always acknowledge that it's a 'known issue' and that the eBay tech department is working on it. During the last call the customer service rep suggested I stop calling and that I'd be informed when it's been fixed. It's been happening to us for almost 6 weeks. Descriptions will not load for any of our templates or drafts. When we take a current, active listing and try to 'save as a template' the descriptions are blank and cannot be revised. We have not been able to list any new items on eBay for weeks. The disregard that eBay has had for this issue, leaving sellers like us in the lurch, has been really disappointing to say the least.

Are there any updates on this issue? I am having the same problem. When I bring up the listing the description area is blank. I am not using a template. It doesn't affect all my listings, just some of them, but on both accounts.

I am trying to list items and I cannot list them because I get stpuid message "Missing description". Whatever I put into description after I click
LIST is then deleted. EBAY really sucks !

I seem to recall a problem in the past where the last field that was updated was being emptied when the "List" button was used. The workaround was to click on an already empty field before hitting the "List" button, so no real info was lost.

I am having the same issue the whole entire Description box is missing so I cant create a new listing or crosspost using the web as of 10/8/23
