Greetings... I am requesting help with ebay customer support, which was always a pain and promlematic to access, but now it is completely gone. I have problems with ebay in general, half of the options and preferences arent working or inaccessible. So is customer support... first of all there is no "site problems" section, second, NOTHING is working. No way to either request chat or a **bleep** simple email...
Outrageous, still
Yours
Zoltan

I just saw another thread from a user in the Czech Republic indicating that the chat assistant was not working at all for that user there, though it seems to be working for me in the US.
The thread is here:

velvet@ebay Do you know if Help & Contact links are working properly for overseas users? What alternatives are available for those users that cannot reach the chat assistant? At least one user attempting to contact eBay via Facebook was abruptly directed back to the apparently nonworking (for that user at least) chat assistant, and cut off.
Edited to add: What options exist for users experiencing problems signing in? Previously it was possible to use the chat assistant without being signed in, but that appears to no longer be the case.

Hi,
It is really frustrating since you have not way to tell anyone that there is some issue. But It could be caused by some language changes since I noticed lately that some labels are in Czech, which, at least I think so, were in english before. If you need some cooperation for testing this issue I will gladly assist.

One of the previous users also indicated that information that was previously available in English now no longer appears that way, and there is not an apparent way to change it back.
I would suggest contacting eBay via social media:
https://www.facebook.com/eBay/
Make it clear that you are located in the Czech Republic and that the chat assistant is not working at all for you.

I just checked eBay.de since its actually the original site I was registering to and it works. The help menu and everything actually looks way different the .com. It seems to me that different ebays are more than just language translations. In .com is My eBay menu partially weirdly translated and when I click on Account labels are not hyperlinks, just labels... Really funny, looks like some beta incidently making it into production...
But what I want to say is that eBay.de is working fine! Sucks that I dont know Germany much, but at least is possible to use.

The different eBay sites are distinct, for the most part; different sites have different rules and are subject to different laws, including different available payment methods. But an account registered on one site can be used to sign in to another site and perform many account functions there.
If you are registered on ebay.de, it is a good idea to make your account changes on the original site used, and I am glad to hear that works for you. Other users registered on ebay.com may not have that option for some account features, though, particularly those involving payments:

We normally have to refer members to work with their site @eburtonlab. I understand that some users aren't sited though, and thus, using .com. I'll file a ticket with the tech team and I'll see what I can find out.

Thanks, velvet!
I am seeing more overseas users running into that same error message seen here when trying to use the Help & Contact page:
Many appear to be registered on ebay.com but actually located in central Europe.
I appreciate your looking into this!

According to eBay, users running into this issue should get in touch with eBay.
Since the Help & Contact links do not work if you are experiencing this problem, try contacting eBay via social media:
https://www.facebook.com/eBay/
Or try contacting eBay via another country site such as ebay.co.uk or ebay.ie and request a chat with an agent.
Provide customer support your username and the following number which should allow eBay to identify the problem you are experiencing: ALERT13931.

I have identical problem in Czech republic - central Europe.
Many elements on my ebay web portal do not work.

Done that as suggested and not a squeak from them. Can not access anything important and no customer support. It is not our problem that we have to use .com as Czech does not have its own site. How difficult can it be to solve such an important issue?

Same issue here (CZ user) - UI half translated, many options missing (like sorting the search results or even the number of results), nothing in account settings or contact form working, and of course no response from eBay on Facebook... Great experience! 😛

I have already filed at least two complaints, a month has passed and I am still unable to use eBay at all. It is seriously hurting my finances but most importantly my reputation.
If we are "not sited" then don't force us to use the US page, let us use others. But I can't use the DE, since Im not living in Germany, same with CO.UK, and not it's not even EU enymore. There should be a generic EU page.
But the fast that I am completely cut off from customer support of all sorts, that's a case for the court because it's a breach of terms (in all countries, fyi)

Yes we are all in the same shoe.
Some companies just don't understand the term "if it works, for God's sake, don't touch it"

I'm joining, the sorting function has disappeared for me too (from Hungary). It's still up and running on ebay.ca.
