AS usual I got no help from the "community". However I figured out a way around it. By clicking the curser very carefully and not too fast the freeze up doesn't happen. For a while I would set the listing up and save the work and then revise it to put in the pictures that way I didn't loose material. A time consuming extra step but it works.
