When I look at an item, under advanced, Sold. The results bring back random items.

I noticed today when I was searching for an item and went to look at the sold price of the item. Results did not bring up the item. brought up other listings that had nothing to do with the item I was searching for.

anyone else having this problem?

Can you provide a link to your search, or a description of the keywords and filters you were using?

From your description it is not clear if the items were possibly actually related in a way that is not entirely obvious, or if eBay is just providing erroneous search results for a particular search or for certain keywords.

If I search using the picture scanner for a Vintage Pocket Electronic Game - Basketball (1978, Mattel Electronics). Then, that listing will show the same item with the different prices. As soon as you choose the filter sold. All results go way and random listing such as VCR’s, women’s dresses, tires, etc. I know this item sold because I was able to look at the sold price last for it last Friday. If you go through this process and pick a product, you know has sold you will see when you what I am talking about. 
I even called eBay to report the problem and they also acknowledged exactly what I was saying and said there would be a fix 24 to 48 hours yesterday.

There seems to be an issue with using images to search sold listings lately.

Try using the image to search active listings to identify the item, then search sold listings by keyword if you are looking for prices an item has sold for, until eBay addresses the problem.

I’ve had to resort to using the camera to see current listings and then typing in the description of the item in order to see sold comps.  Very frustrating.  Hopefully eBay will fix this glitch soon.

Thanks for the reply, I do the same thing but at a estate sale it's pretty hard to see the final sales cost when your looking at the item and use that process especially when your not sure about the sold price. Hopefully it's fixed soon. I opened a ticket up 10 days ago and they told me they are still working on it, that it's happening to a lot of people. I tried to 3 iphones and 1 android phone and got the same results. I don't know why more people aren't complaining.
