I can't find any way to let Ebay know that there's a malfunction, so I suppose that this is the best way to bring it up... Beginning a few days ago, I can no longer add items to my watch list. When I click the button, nothing happens. I AM signed in. My watch list is NOT full. I have tried on two different browsers and cannot do it on either one (Google Chrome, and the Avast browser, which I think is modified Chrome) There seem to be two new methods to add to my watch list and I suspect that when those were added, the usual method got broken. If I do a search, while looking through the search results, I can click a heart next to the photo of a listing and watch it that way. That method DOES work. Also a new link appeared on the auction pages not long ago, to the right and just below the search bar on any listing, "Add to Watch List." If I just click it once, it won't work. If I rapidly click on that multiple times in a row, sometimes it will add the auction to my watch list. Sometimes it won't. (Probably not relevant to the issue, but I have rebooted my computer a few times since the issue first was noticed. And my Windows 10 Pro OS is currently up to date.)

That's the one that quit working. However, after I posted this concern, to my surprise, all of the watch options began working again. Maybe there was some temporary blockage in my browser or on the site.
Ah -- understood. Glad to hear it is working for you again.
Previously I have had issues with the usual "add to watch list"/dropdown being replaced by a text link with no dropdown list (though I believe the link still worked). When that happened, I was usually able to get it back to normal by explicitly signing out of eBay (using the link in the upper left of the page where it says "Hi, $Firstname!" -- note that does not work on the community pages, though), and then signing back in. Simply restarting the browser was not sufficient without signing out of eBay, I believe.
For a while, eBay experimented briefly with replacing that dropdown list with a simple blue "Watch" button, but thankfully that experiment was ended and the dropdown brought back.

How about the "Add to watch list" button/dropdown below the "Add to Cart", "Make Offer" or "Place Bid" button on the item page? Does that work for you?
Are there any common browser plug-ins or extensions that you use in both of your browsers, such as an ad blocker? You might try disabling those plug-ins to see if that has any effect on this problem. eBay may be making changes to its pages, so it might be worth clearing your cache and deleting eBay cookies in one or both browsers.
All three watching methods are currently working for me in Firefox, Edge and Chrome. I have previously noticed some instability in the watch list if watching more than 200 items, but that mostly concerns difficulty removing multiple items from the watch list, not adding individual items.

There is an ad blocker, but I checked and it doesn't seem to be blocking Ebay. I disabled it, but nothing changed.

Thanks for your response. 🙂 For now, all ways to Save to Watch are working again.
