Recently, my friend attempted to use his eBay account to make an order, but for some reason the system would not allow him to login. He provided his usual email address when placing the order as a guest (which is the same address on list eBay account).
He got emails from eBay with links to check the status of the order as well as subsequent messages after receiving the order confirmation. Even though he made the purchase as a guest, when he clicks on those links, he is instead taken to an eBay login screen. And when he attempts to login on those login screens, the screen simply says "Please provide another email address".
