Unable to send Messages

Is anyone else having problems sending messages via eBay Messages?  It has been several hours and I need to contact my buyer.

I have tried through both my phone, and the a laptop, using two different browsers. I was finally able to get a message though by responding to an earlier message the buyer sent. It seems to have been because ebay was not recognizing I had answered her previous questions so would not allow me to answer the most recent one? Bizzare.

I know this is an old post but I have to respond considering its one year later and people are still having this issue. I dont see why I should have to download the ebay app onto my phone, I dont want it on my phone and I dont see why I should have to install another browser. So goodbye Ebay. I cannot use the messaging system because I can send one message via contact seller but when they respond, I simply cannot reply because of this ridiculous situation where I get an error that the message is over 60 days old, utter **bleep**!

I know exactly what you mean. I do not want the app on my phone either but it seems eBay wants us to install it. I have to go to my desktop every time I have a message and makes it a problem because I can't be at home every time I need to message. A real "bleep" issue!

Yes I have the same problem, I tried everything to no prevail. I have to leave my buyers waiting until I get to my desktop which is a pain because I am on the go a lot.

I have tried mobil devices and desktop! This problem needs to be addressed. It needs to be fixed

This thread is from 2022, so chances are you are having a different problem. What happens when you try to send a message?

If you are using a desktop browser, are you clicking on the "Send message" text line above the button in the lower right of your message window? You should be able to enter your message text there if so. If not, what happens?
