I am again blocked from refunding buyer.
ebay has my bank infor added. I had set up that worked till now that Ebay pulls money out of available funds if available if not then from the bank. This time it doesn’t work. Ebay error i get is “add payment method”. I am confused about that since they have payment method that is valid and ebay pulls money for shipping subscription fees refunds and cancellations. I contected Ebay on social media but they clueless and asked me to add credit card for refund! I tried refunding on app and on website for 3 days now and every time I get same error.

aparently it is Ebay glitch of some sort.

I had the same issue a few weeks ago. Ebay was/is having issues with certain major financial credit card institutions to issue payments for seller costs. I had to use an alternate credit card & then contact the original credit card bank to see if there were any flags to process the transaction. If there aren't any flags from the bank, then you will need to reach out to Ebay customer service. After a few weeks, my original credit card was able to be added in the selling cost payment method field.

What do you mean? That Ebay has problem with crediting the fees to sellers and therefore they ban seller from refunding buyer? That is absurd. I won’t use my personal credit card for Ebay business. I have a business account and it was set up by ebay. Payments was verified. So far they had no problem paying themselves straight from my bank.
i reported this to Ebay numerous time. 0 interests in fixing it. It is very fishy that they won’t address it or explain what is happening.

They are not clueless, that is the fix. Add a credit card to backup your eBay account funds. When you have a refund to issue after a payout, your account can come up short. I used to come up short when the UPS charges hit, though they now charge up front for UPS labels.

If you are a nickel short, the refund won't process.

Been there, done that, fixed the issue with a credit card.

Same as on AMZ, you can't even begin to sell there without a credit card on file to back up your seller account.

@lakefor94 i said that it is not what they were doing . I have a list if bank transactions for refunds that they were pulling from my bank account and not card. Same bank account they still have I will be filing gov complaints . I am not using personal card to refund. by the way they have personal card on file yet they don’t load anything any type of payment so give me a break. Something very very fishy is going on and that needs scrutiny

No problem for Ebay to keep withdrawing from same bank before just this transaction? By the way i checked they have cc on file as well yet they don’t load any payment in refund for this item.
