I have been trying to link my paypal account since morning but still doesn't work. It says I have successfully linked account but when I go back there is not a linked paypal account.

Could you please help me?

You are in Sri Lanka..........it's my understanding that paypal can only be used there to SEND money, not to receive it.......so it wouldn't work on ebay to get payments from buyers............

I'm having this problem in the US, and I'm seeing discussion threads with exactly this complaint going back several years. I was just told by a customer support rep at ebay that they haven't seen this issue before and are starting a new ticket... unbelievable.

Same even I'm facing the same issue. I clicked on that link my PayPal button and logged in to Paypal and then I even got a message saying successfully linked. Then when I go back again the same button link my PayPal is there, and my account is not linked. I tried several times. Please any solutions.

If paypal won't allow sales money receipt because of Sri Lanka laws, I'm afraid there is no solution.......I presume the new payment system to be in place for everyone some time this year will have the same limitations since the limitation is based on the country's law.
