Unable to confirm phone number when completing a seller listing

Before completing a listing for an item I would like to sell, I am redirected to a page which asks me to confirm my phone number. Regardless of whether I select "Text me" or "Call me" I get redirected to an error page with the ollowing error:

"Your request couldn't be processed because of a technical issue. Please try again. "

This has been ongoing for more than 2 weeks. I have previously listed an item on ebay and have not had this problem. Is there a way to confirm my phone number to complete the listing?

You are in the UK.......might ask on that board as it could be a problem specific to listing from the UK/Europe.........  this is the US Board........

is the UK vs US distinction based on co.uk vs com TLD?

The verification page takes me to a url starting with:

https://www.sellvrfn.ebay.com/SRRDefault/?reqinput=*

I think you are suggesting I post on community.ebay.co.uk (which I didn't see before). I'll crosspost there.

Yes, eBay USA is ebay.com, and eBay UK is ebay.co.uk.

Since you wound up on the eBay USA community forum, you may have been trying to list an item on eBay USA. That could explain why you would get the eBay USA verification page. Typically, the phone contacts available here only works for regions in the North American Numbering Plan (for phone numbers).

Try logging on to eBay UK, and starting your listing there. It might work, and you wouldn't need to contact anyone. Also that way, you can do domestic postage to the UK, and receive payment in £.

I'm starting off in the ebay.co.uk FQDN with the colourful logo.
