I'm finding that I can't add items to my basket. When I attempt to do so I get a popup window which says "Adding to your basket", which after a few seconds changes to "Still adding...", then a few seconds later to "You're almost done". But it never gets any further.
I've tried different items from different sellers, but get the same thing every time.
Any ideas?

Each country site has its own cart or basket, so if you are having problems adding items to a cart on ebay.com, try adding to your basket on ebay.co.uk instead.
Individual items can be purchased individually without using the cart. The cart is only necessary if you are adding multiple items to purchase at the same time in the same transaction.
Are you using a browser or the eBay app? Try using a different browser or a different device to see if that makes any difference.
For best results, keep your cart empty until you are ready to check out, and check out items from one seller at a time. Many cart issues can be exacerbated by having many items in the cart for too long. A problem with a single item can prevent checkout.

I see the same behavior using a browser to add an item to the cart, but I am able to add an item to the cart using the eBay app.

Thanks, I'm using ebay.co.uk, using a browser. I've already tried several different browsers without success, along with clearing cookies, rebooting etc. I've never had this issue before. My basket is empty, and it's not allowing me to add a single item. I'll try a different device tomorrow.

I was having problems adding items to my cart using a browser earlier, but it seems to be working for me now. Try again if you have not had success lately.

I found out I had to turn "on" add items to basket a few days ago for International Buyers from Manage Buyers. I am from the USA...International Buyers couldn't do it until I turned it on. Imagine after years of selling I just found out from a buyer from Canada how to do it. However, asking for a shipping combine discount means you are committed to buying items and will be charged accordingly with credit card on file(which I assume you have a credit card on file).

Nevermind, the next day it worked as normal again. So goodness knows why it was misbehaving!
