Unable to Submit an Offer

Hello,

 

I have been unable to submit an offer for 5 days now. I can send a message and counter offers sent to me, but here is the error I get:

 

"We are unable to send your message at this time.{e78062-1139572x}"

 

There are no disputes on my account and no issues. Please help!

Are you having problems submitting different offers to different sellers, or just having problems with one particular seller?

 

Perhaps the seller has received the maximum number of offers already.

 

If you were specifically blocked by the seller's buyer requirements, the message would typically say something about the seller "not accepting offers from you", so this sounds like a different error.

 

I believe there is also a specific message for "exceeding the number of allowable offers" from your end as well, so I do not think that is the case here either.

Thanks @eburtonlab but I'm having problems with almost every seller with a few exceptions (like 1 out of 20).

Hi @robdawgie3! There are a number of reasons this could be happening and while I don't have an exhaustive list for you, I can give you some of the most common reasons. Please take a look and if none of these reasons would be the cause of it, let me know and we can look at getting a ticket opened for you. 

 

  • You already have sent the maximum number of Best Offers for the item.
  • You have sent the maximum number of Best Offers on a Good 'Til Cancelled (GTC) listing.
  • You already have an active offer on the item. Another offer can't be made on that item until the seller responds to the first offer or until the offer expires.
  • You have more than 30 active offers at any given time across all categories. You won't be able to make another offer until one of the active offers is accepted, declined, retracted, or expired.
  • You may be on the seller's blocked bidder list. 
  • You are trying to make a Best Offer for a quantity greater than the inventory that's available.
  • You are attempting to send a Best Offer with contact information in the Message to seller section. 
  • You are attempting to send a Best Offer on a listing where a Message to seller cannot be used.

Did your issue end up fixing? I have the exact same problem as you. Cant offer to multiple people (maybe 1/20 works) for days now.

I have this problem too. I submitted only one offer, the seller rejected (accidentally) but actually requested later for me to put in an offer again. Only used 1 offer so far.

I too have this same problem.  When I click on the "Make Offer" button the "Make an offer" pop-up window is displayed, and I can enter a proposed amount under "Your offer" .....but the "Review offer" button at a the bottom of the pop-up window is not active (it is grayed out).  When I click on it nothing happens.

That "Review offer" button used to be blue indicating that you could click on it to send the offer.

This has been going on for about a week now and the same problem occurs on eBay.fr, eBay.co.uk and eBay.de.

Thanks for any help on how to solve this issue.

What browser are you using? Is it the latest version?

 

Try the latest version of another browser, or the eBay app.
