I have attempted to report an item for price gouging. The seller is claiming that the $1000 listing price will go towards Gary Sinise charity fund. My guess....their own charity fund wallet" This seller has only 11 feedback.
This is the response I get when I click the report button.
"Please provide the correct information in the highlighted fields.
Please enter a valid item number for a listing that has not ended."
There is no place to type an item number as it appears already to the right of the photo.

If you are using Edge browser, try updating to the latest version (80), or try another browser instead to report items.

I tried switching to two other browsers. IE and Google Chrome. Neither of them let me report these items. I am going to start mentioning item numbers here so that others can report these slimy creeps for trying to make big money as a result of a crisis. These people would steal the prosthetic legs off a handicapped person if they could just to make a buck. Pathetic. eBay should be monitoring this 24-7. This can be done from any of their employees homes. Take the listings down.

If you are getting that error in multiple up-to-date browsers, then it may be that the listing is in the process of being taken down already.

It could be 1 of the 2 issues. Item is in the process of being taken down, or your browser. I know that with Fire Fox, my primary browser, I have it so tightened down, that some sites that are heavy into tracking will just not work. So I have to use another browser, if it's important enough. Although, I don't get too many errors with eBay.
As for the charity claim, if the listing doesn't have the "Benefits Charity" notation near the price, it's not for charity. I believe a seller can not divert funds when it is properly marked for charity. eBay deducts the funds immediately.
It's good to report it. Unfortunately, I too see it often, especially in the mask listing (which are thought were banned from sale). What bugs me is that with all touting of the use of AI, eBay can't catch these simple issues.

Thank you for your help. I hope that is the case. The listing was still there this morning so I will keep a monitor of it.

May be IT coding to prevent the item from being listed to save time removing it if it is a banned item.

If you are using the Legacy version of Edge (version 44?) try updating to the latest version (80). Once I did that I was able to use the "report item" feature again.
This link should let you know which version you are using and how to update it:

E-bay does not care, if item sells they get their share. Thats why its impossible to report.

I just successfully submitted reports on about a dozen fraudulent listings; if eBay is trying to prevent reports from being submitted, they are not trying very hard.
Try updating your browser, or try another browser.

I hate seeing people profit off stolen/fraudulent items.
I've been getting this same stupid error for at least 6 months.
All the items I'm trying to report are still there.
Here's one from a WWII soldier's book.
