Another night, another major problem with the eBay platform. As a former Customer Quality Manager for a large corporation, my message to eBay is please fix your system and stop rolling out changes and updates that make the system unusable for your customers. Tonight, while trying to input a return of an item I purchased (something I rarely do), an error message popped up and now the item has disappeared from my purchase history! When trying to initially process the return in the order summary there was no option to return (as normally appears), so I had to do this in the purchase history. I had just processed a couple of returns for the same seller without any problems (and within the Order Summary). Everything seemed OK and I received a confirmation that the return was processed, then, a second later a message popped up saying "! Something Went Wrong" (Yes, I was trying to use eBay, which has become the most unstable platform I have ever used). There was a link to "Go Back" and upon clicking on this link I received a message that said "Oops! Internet Explorer could not find my.qa.ebay.com Did you mean: ebay.com." The item was then missing from my order summary, but showed up shortly after. It is still missing from my purchase history and I'm not sure the return request was processed. I suggest that anyone reading this and experiencing any technical issues on the platform, post their concerns and join together to make eBay aware that their customer base isn't happy.

Hello, it's not a problem of the browser. Today, i tried to return an item, but i ended with error message: "Something went wrong" with "Go back" button. When i tried to "Go back" using that button my browser tried to redirect me to "my.qa.ebay.com" (Tested on Opera and MS Edge). The address was not recognized by DNS server. Tested with DNS server of my provider (UPC) and google DNS as well... Tried to resolve the address from command prompt without any luck. Address was not found 😞 I successfully returned another item one week ago, so i think, that this is just temporary problem... (Hope so)

Since writing my post on 2/10/19 I've spent most of my time here at Community Boards, instead of Buying or Selling (something I was hoping to do for the first time). There are numerous issues that have come up since 2/10 and a lack of any real Customer Support to address them.
And ..... It has now been over a month and eBay has still not resolved the Home Page Error impacting many users. eBay, please fix this so all of your Customers can access the eBay website.

Ebay doesn't care about these problems, if they did they would address them. I called them yesterday and they lied to me and said everything was fine. My views have dropped below my normal watcher numbers...it's over, eBay is busted.
Etsy.com < This is where people are going that don't like being lied to or sold subpar services.

I have been trying to return an item all day and keep getting a page that says "something went wrong, it's not you, it's us". Then it says go back and when you do that, you have to re-type and re-do everything. I've tried doing this on my hard-wired PC, my I-beam and my phone . Same result on all three.

Just go to paypal and handle the return though them as you have the same coverage and more time to do it.

I also am having some very worrisome problems with refunding customers. The day before I first received the "server down" message I cancelled and refunded a payment to a customer. I received the usual "refund has been issued" message and assumed it was business usual. Next morning I notice on my sold page a message above the item recently refunded saying "cancellation pending" "refund pending" ! ...never had that happen before. Checked all monies and the funds were and are there, but one ebay message says refunded, one says pending ...yikes. The customer waiting for this refund messages me asking were their refund is...and rightly so. I call ebay and they tell me it's a credit card/bank issue! ..and the refund could take up to 10 days. Ok. ..next day I get an ebay message saying that my cancellation has been processed and I need to refund the customer now! YET on another page I am getting a message say that this transaction has been completed, cancel and refunded!!!! I searched for anyway to refund this customer again via ebay, but there is simply no way, no option to! I would have to refund via paypal which means that the second refund would never be recognized by ebay! The worst part is that this customer, that did nothing wrong still waiting for their money, and I look bad..... I called ebay again and while they are very nice I believe they are either not tell me what's really going on OR they don't know. ..... as of my 2nd call to ebay CS they now say that this refund can take up to 20 days! I like ebay, it's easy to use for me and I do good with sales and make a few bucks, but the idea of money floating around out there in ebay cyper-space is very concerning to say the least. And I can only imagine that I have lost this customers business for good.
