I have checked “Text Only” under “Account Settings/Communications Preferences/Preferred Email Format” but I am not receiving email in text based format.
What I receive are lines similar to
“Learn about eBay Money Back Guarantee [rover.ebay.com]”
where the " [rover.ebay.com] " is not a link that I can cut and paste into a browser.
If I use “Show Headers” the mail is so full of html code that it is almost impossible to figure out which link I want in a sea of links and html formatting code that is three pages long for a half page message. It seems there are many more links than are referenced in the email and even if I spend considerable time to figure out what link it probably it is, most of the time it doesn't work when I cut and paste the link into a browser. It is very frustrating.
For most of the emails I receive from ebay it is not a problem since it just an informational email, but occasionally there is a link that I reallly need to click on because of instructions in the email.
Is there an additional box that has to be checked elsewhere?
