Does no one have notice the amount of free listings for your subscriptions decreased without listing any item?

I haven't checked my account if that have been happening in the past months until today 1st of August. They were not relisted automatically either manually, but the amount of my monthly free listing is still decreasing.

Do the merchants who're impacted need to give you our selling id account, to quickly re-claim the listing credits due to the error.

If so, can you please add mine to it.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Hi @songbirddu7 - I don't need your selling ids for this one, it's something that the analytics team is able to pull proactively in this case. Thanks!

"I pay for my store and should not have less listings because of an eBay issue

I pay for 250 GTC listings and thats what I should have available.

What are they going to do for those who just lost listings?" @klhmdg

Most grateful for your comeback. tyler@ebay Per your above-mentioned highlighted in green -

1) ALL sellers be they non store + store owners who were impacted with the incorrect ending of their GTCs -

those listings that were incorrectly ended - will be credited to our accounts?

2) Similar to another merchant @klhmdg.

I have lost 9 incorrectly ended GTCs on Aug 1st - those were supposed to end on Aug 02 at 10:23 am pdt.  I have sinced ended them and where the error came up yesterday showing that these 9 items taken from the  250 Fixed allotments - those items did not show up.

3) So, my 9 pre-ended GTC listings will be credited to my Fixed allotments?

Thank you very much for reading my message and your assistance and clarification is greatly appreciated tyler@ebay

Hi @songbirddu7 - if insertion fees were charged, they will be credited. In the case of insertion fee credits (ie, store listing allotments) being used I do not have a way to get those credited. You could consider contacting CS for support or other options!

nmemoryof -

I agree to an extent. I pay for my 250 a month through a store. SO I should get 250.

For eBay to take them and offer nothing is theft.

I have had a store since Nov. and never once have I been given "free" promotional offers.

I am considering that at the end of my year I will go back to 50 free AND get free promotions.

I will save $21.95 a month and then eBay stealing free stuff is not a big deal.

eBay should give ALL sellers with a store a free month since they can take listings but not return them to us.

Looks like there is only 50 free listings for non-stores now. The last extra free listings were in mid June. While many competitors offer free listings and charge for sold items only, eBay is grabbing every .35c it can.

Maybe totally free listings is not a good idea for eBay to overload it with junk (if it is free, then everybody would list endlessly, and it will become a flee market), but what eBay does right now is even worse. GTC is still a disaster. Because of it, sellers stopped relisting everything or most of it they relisted before because they were in control. With GTC, you constantly have to babysit every listing, and even if you think that eBay displays correct information when the listings end, it still finds a way to charge double with the recent ongoing mess.

I guess it is all perspective.  I remember back when we were always charged for every listing.  I saw all my sales money gobbled up by listing fees that did not sell.  So I'm thrilled with the 50 free, especially when we get so many promotions.  Granted, you can't count on promotions.  I finally went with a basic store (via a promotion where I got 2 free months) and I love it.  So far anyway.  OK the glitch is not wonderful, but they are fixing it.

I'm not a business. I may be one day.  But I'm still trying to get rid of my own things.  So maybe my perspective will change when I'm in a different situation.

Regarding GTC, I've relaxed on it now that I have a basic store.  I still cancel manually sometimes.  With just 50 listings a month, it was a bigger deal.  Then again, it was easier to keep track of only 50 listings.

My monthly listings are decreasing as well. 16 items have been re-listed since yesterday and they have taken away 21 from my monthly allotment

Called CS and they said they are looking into it but could take 3-4 weeks for it to change.

What if people go over their monthly limit because they are taking away listings we aren't even using?

Ebay has been a nightmare!

Did they say 3-4 weeks to fix the problem???

yes they did! I even asked what happens if i go over my 250 for the month because of this. He said "you will get credited back"

I don't believe it. Its just going to continue taking all our listings until it is fixed. Which means I cant list new items because I will for sure go over.

Ebay is a mess

Hi Tyler, so basically you are saying that sellers who pay for stores with a set amount of listings and who have had allotted listings taken from them because of this glitch get NOTHING in return? No listing credits or any kind or compensation, we just have to suck it up and get squat and what take one for team? We both know contacting customer service will do nothing in the case of store owners who lost listings, they can't "CREDIT BACK" listings you just said it yourself, that there is no way to credit listings back. This to me is NOT ACCEPTABLE!

I called customer service today and what you wrote is exactly what I was told.

They will refund fees paid to everyone who got charged BUT those of us with stores

are out of luck.

They can not put back what they took AND at this point eBay has not offered to

compensate the sellers with stores for our loss.

It is not acceptable to me either and I am sure it did not just start yesterday BUT there is nothing

we can do and they know it.

A Good & Honest company will correct mistakes they made and make the Customer whole (or even better than before the mistake).

The question now is what does eBay want to be?

If they say they can't put back what they took, they can surely give you something new (free listings, eBay credit, coupons, etc.).

And ... there is always something you can do.

Hard to believe it is not intentional. With all those "brilliant" new policies no wonder eBay is so desperate to grab those pennies. But it adds up to a huge sum.
