So I asked a seller a question this morning and she replied saying she received a blank message and wondered if I had a question about the item. So I checked my sent messages and there WAS NO SENT MESSAGE to her even though I did ask a question. I attempted to reply again and AGAIN there is no sent message to her in my sent messages. The first time this morning was from the phone app and the 2nd time was from my computer. So I'm pretty sure she got another blank message.

So then I tried to come here and search for this issue and I get this every time I search:

I know this is an old question, however it's NOV 2017 and I'm having this problem too!
I reply to buyer's message, get confirmation that message was sent, and when I pull up her original message, even confirms "you replied to this message on XXX."
However it's nowhere to be found in Sent folder, and appears buyer never received it (and she's angry).
Is this intentional eBay sabotage, in an attempt to compete with Amazon by sloughing off the "mom and pop sellers" to make it more appealing for China sellers?
Anyone else having this problem?
SOLUTION: going forward, I will click on box below message to ensure a copy of ALL EBAY MESSAGES is forwarded my personal email. However, this does NOT solve the problem I have with several (justifiably) angry eBay buyers who will likely leave negative feedback, damaging my 100% positive customer feedback rating, which is largely one of the reasons I've been able to stay in business, despite the favorable (deceptive) practices by eBay, which ALWAYS seem to hurt the small sellers & help the big ones. If the case, then shame on you eBay!
I guess it's time to look for other options. Hate to say it, but I knew this time would come ...
