Someone used my email address to open an ebay account that was suspended. I have a good ebay account and I can access it, but I often get a message when trying to login that the account (the bogus one) was suspended and ebay won't let me log in with my email address. I am able to login with my user name.
I cannot get ebay to disassociate that bogus account from my email address so I won't get that message anymore and so I can login with my email address.
I have sent ebay three emails and they don't understand the situation. They just keep saying the account is suspended and that is final. That's fine. It's not my account. But it's not fine that it is associated with my email address.
I think the response is from a bot, despite it being signed by a person's name.
Does anyone know how to contact a real person at ebay or some other way to get this taken care of?

You won't be able to sign in to an account that is suspended.
Each eBay account has a unique email address associated with it. This account you are using has an email address that is different than the suspended account. You should therefore be able to sign in to this account using the email address associated with this account.

Thank you for your reply.
So, bottom line... someone can hijack someone else's email address and the victim can no longer use his preferred and primary email address for ebay? This seems unfair and should not be allowed to happen. At the very least I should have had a warning and a chance to validate the account.
