I have called ebay multiple times over the last 3-4 years because I have items that sell (fixed price) and they still show up for someone to buy. I have thousands of items online so I don't notice this. Then a customer buys the item, which no longer is available since it already sold to someone else, and I look like a bad store manager. I also have the opposite happen frequently where an item just disappears from my store, yet it NEVER sold. I find it on the shelf a year later, wonder why it never sold and when I check my store listings, it is not even listed anymore. So frustrating. I used to work in software support so I document the occurrences with very specific examples and dates and give to Ebay but this has never been fixed. Their answer is to always list an item brand new from scratch and don't ever use "sell similar". Well I sell a lot of repeat like items and with over 6500 online, that is not feasible and takes way to much listing time. And if that's the case, why do they have the "sell similar" function then??? Sorry, done venting now.
