If the problem only occurs when using Chrome, then likely there is something about your current Chrome setup that is causing a problem for you.
Are you using the latest version of Chrome? See if there are any updates available. Sometimes installing a pending update can help.
When you clear your cache, be sure to choose "for all time".
Try disabling other add-ons to see if a conflict is causing problems.
