Anyone else having fun with this glitch?
Trying to print my shipping labels for today same as always. Instead of simply printing as always they now download as a pdf file. I don't want pdf files for one time use shipping labels cluttering up my computer.
Same issue with trying to print simple packing slips today. I now have a bunch of one time use packing slip pdf files downloading into my computer.
Is this a continual glitch making the rounds or something new?

Most browsers will let you choose how PDF files are treated -- whether to open in the browser or using a specific PDF reader, or to save the file. Opening with a PDF reader seems to work more consistently; sometimes PDFs will appear as a blank document when opened in a browser.
Once in a while a browser update changes the default behavior or causes problems.
Here is what Firefox shows in Settings:

I use the Chrome browser. I print packing slips and shipping labels bulk. Not individually. Does that matter?
The pdf glitch happened to me early last year for a week or so then went back to my usual click print and they print.
I have never set my packing slips or shipping labels to pdf form. Confusing why it's happening again since I haven't changed any settings.
I just printed 2 shipping labels without the pdf issue. Clicked print and they did.
Scan form printed just fine.
Thanks both of you for your help. Appreciate it!!

When the print screen opens up to print something, before you print it, there is a drop down menu on that box, you can either print it to an printer or save as a PDF. You need to change the selection to print to a printer.

A few days ago Ebay's "Print" link on the packing slip/order receipt began downloading the documents as a PDF instead of printing them for me too, and using keyboard print commands instead of their "Print" link now opens and prints blank pages instead of working like it used to. The quickest work around that I have found is to left click on the document to be printed, then use the print command (Command+P keys on my mac) on the keyboard to open a working print page like it used to previously without the left click (or manually opening the document in preview first via a right click dropdown box). Note even with left clicking on the document first, Ebay's "Print" link still doesn't work right/still downloads instead.
I don't know if this will work on other systems/browsers (I'm using a Mac with OS Catalina and Safari 15.2) or if it works on Ebay shipping labels since I don't use them.
Hopefully this may help someone.

Their is a known issue with Chrome/Windows 10/Certain HP printers, and some Lexmark printers that cause the printer to NOT show up as an option when printing.
Microsoft Edge seems to have fixed this in the latest version, but in early versions it still exists.
I might suggest getting the lastest version of Chrome and updating your computer with ALL the lastest Microsoft and Edge Updates, that seems to fix the problem.
Failure to update, and guess what problem will continue to exist.

This was happening to me when I did Save As from Chrome.
From Chrome go to Settings under the Hamburger menu
privacy and security
Site Settings
Additional Content Settings
PDF Documents
Select Open PDF's in Chrome
