I had 6 orders that needed shipping. Got through 5 of them and then the 6th order gave me a label which was tied to my buyer but the tracking number was to a previously sold item by a different seller that was already delivered. System doesn’t show its shipping and won’t let me update it. Had to contact my buyer to let them know we’re working on resolving the issue but if it can’t be resolved we’re going to have to go to usps to get one and message the buyer with a tracking number.

Oh man I’m sorry they aren’t working with you on this. They told me it’s widespread too. Have you tried going through your mobile app to contact help? I did that and talked to someone on the phone who was helpful

I was able to void the first one because it hadn’t been delivered yet. I had to call into eBay to get them to void the second one because it said it was already delivered. I reached out the the buyer as well and updated them on the issue and then went and bought their on pirate ship and sent them a copy of that tracking. Really frustrating, time consuming and added cost while you wait to be reimbursed for the mistakes. Hoping this isn’t going to be an ongoing problem. So far today I haven’t had any issues printing through eBay

That’s what happened to me. They told me to void it and repurchase it and then the repurchased label did the same thing 🤦🏻♀️. Went to pirate ship for that label but today I decided to chance it and print through eBay and so far nothing has happened. I also had an issue with not seeing my offers and not seeing funds for paid orders. It seems like eBay is having a multiple issue problem going on this week. They said the offers and funds issue is widespread as well

I used pirate ship for the one that was giving me issues and it gave me two options, with one being cheaper than what eBay had. No complaints there so far. I tried it out again through eBay today and so far no issues. I had 20 orders to fulfill by Monday and I’ve done about 15 so far with no problems.

Same thing happened to us! It says that we will only be refunded if the tracking number hasn't been scanned... but according to the tracking it was magically delivered 5,000 miles away at the exact same same that I purchased it! So very weird! I am definitely afraid of packing up boxes for Monday. One person had mentioned Pirate Ship... but then I read that Pirate Ship is having troubles too! Yikes. 😞

Can you provide any insight for sellers who cannot cancel the affected labels? How should they proceed to get a refund when they purchased a new label, and now have two charges for shipping the same order?

Success! Finally got refunded, after spending 20 mins on the phone they refunded me. Normal customer service chat still was no help I contacted them the past 3 days each day they denied refund and told me the package was fine to ship.
very frustrating getting 30 different answers

I also had this issue on labels printed on 9-28-24.
It was addressed to my buyers but the tracking numbers were linked to another tracking numbers that were already picked up prior to my items being sold. The tracking numbers showed shipping to another address that were not my buyers. Very strange! I need to check to insure I received payments to my managed payment account.

Hi! I saw your message on the duplicated tracking number. Same thing happened to me on Sept 28, but I didn't catch it until buyer said he didn't receive. and I can't see any tracking on the package I sent. Did your buyer receive his item? Thanks!

After reading through these messages, it looks like I'm the only one who actually mailed a package with one of these duplicated tracking number. Unfortunately the item wasn't tracked because USPS says the second item isn't tracked once the number is used. Buyer says didn't receive. Local postal worker says in these instances the item goes to the dead box pile. eBay is of no help and usps and eBay blame each other. I can't even apply for usps insurance because they have no record of it being shipped. UGHHHHHHH SO FRUSTRATING.

I have had the same issue on 5 items. One arrived, then tracking said it was to be delivered in 3 days. I notified the seller that another package was coming. she assured me there wasn't and was aware of the issue. 2 other packages have been traveling back and forth between Cincinatti and Indianapolis for a better part of a week. The 4th items tracking said it still hasn't shipped. The seller assures me it shipped 4 days ago. the 5th is just in limbo somewhere. It is time to take a break from Ebay.
