Shipping and return problems with buyer

I sold an item,and it took more than 3 weeks to arrived to the buyer with usps ground advance.the package stay in Memphis post office like 2 weeks ,when the buyer finally received,they complained the item is missing the gift perfume sample I add inside and the lotion logo is faded.however ,they want to return. With the item I sold for $399( but buyer paid $445, which I got $341- shipping $16=325. And now the buyer request for $417 for the refund. I also need to pay for the their return shipping with insurance ( another $16-$17). I try to provide the buyer return shipping label from eBay,but it doesn’t has insurance coverage. Which I am worry if item get lost. So I try to ask the buyer to add insurance when they go to post office drop off the package. I try to purchase the return label on usps web site but it did not work. This is so stressful and I am losing lots money with this transaction. Anyone has similar experience?
