Upload it to youtube?

You can't send a video file through eBay messages.

You can add the video to your listing or you can add it to Utube as @wastingtime101  has suggested.

Original poster is the buyer, so they don't have a listing. I'm guessing this is a post-purchase issue. We could offer more help if @bossanovaman wants to provide more details/context.

Re: Sending video to seller

Hi ebayers,

I purchased an item from seller that does not function properly. Seller wants me to send video to resolve the issue. I tried but ebay does not let me upload the video. The video is only 6 MB (<9 MB or 150 MB limit depending upon who you talk to). I can upload photos just fine but no video. I called ebay yesterday and she said she would refer it to IT - "you should hear back within 24 hours". Only crickets thus far. HELP and thank you!

Re: Sending video to seller

If you open a return request for your item, (Item not as described) you can start the return process. If the item does not work, the seller will have to return the item on their dime but you will have to wait for a refund after they get it back.

I had a feeling it was something like that @bossanovaman . The seller has access to your phone number on the order details. My suggestion is to ask the seller to call or text you then you can send them the video through text or email.

You might even be able to solve the issue over the phone. If you can't then resume communication through eBay messages, recapping your phone call for the record.

Re: Sending video to seller

Thank you for your advice. I am trying to give them (seller) the opportunity to resolve (send me a new or different item) the issue...but ebay is not helping so, unfortunately,  I will be left with the only option of initiating the return.  Thank you again!

Re: Sending video to seller

Great advice. What if seller is in China? Will this work?

If the seller is in China I suggest filing the return request right away. Sellers in China are known for trying to string you along, claiming they'll send a replacement, and running out the clock for you to file a return with buyer protections.

If the seller is in the US then work with them as suggested above to see if you can get the item to work, but don't ask for a replacement. If it comes to that always do a return then buy a new item. You can lose buyer protections if the 30 day window expires while you're working out a replacement.

Re: Sending video to seller

As a seller this is very inconvenient.  Why should we have to pay to send a defective item back just to provide a refund?

There are so many scammers on eBay we cant trust buyers to be truthful when they say something is not working.

A 10 second video can get them a immediet refund and save the seller shipping costs.
