Seller Hub Overview Tasks glitch, Cases opened as a buyer show up in Seller hub as needing responce

I tried to report this through seller help and was unable to get past the bot so I am going to try and over simplify this here:

Meet Jimmy, Jimmy is both a buyer and a Seller on ebay. If Jimmy purchases an item and it is never shipped Jimmy would naturally open a claim for an item not received. However, since Jimmy is also a seller, a glitch with the Tasks tile on the Overview Page causes a seller notification to "Respond to items not received case" in Jimmy's Seller Hub.

Meanwhile, Jimmy has not had any INR cases open for over two months. Being concerned Jimmy clicks around frantically trying to find the INR case he needs to respond to because Jimmy tries really hard to never ignore order and certainly would never ignore a case. After 15 minutes of futile clicks Jimmy tries seller help. Foolish Jimmy opts to chat rather than talk on the phone.

The Automated assistant instructs Jimmy to just ignore the task of responding to the the open case. Jimmy tries in vane to report the issue but holds out little hope. The automated assistant is persistent in telling Jimmy to just ignore the task. At last as Jimmy holds back tears he writes a post on the community boards hoping that even if ebay doesn't fix this glitch maybe some other seller somewhere in the world will get a chuckle out of the story and remember it should they ever need to open an INR claim against a seller.

If I were Jimmy, and were concerned about a purchase I had made not having yet arrived although its estimated due date had passed, I would go to my My eBay> Purchase History and look at my recent purchases until I had located the one I was concerned about.  I would know that I have 30 days to open an INR case with eBay.

I would click on the "Item Not Received" statement.

Then I'd wait at least 3 days for some kind of response from the seller.

After 3 days on day #4, I'd just return to that and ask eBay to step in so I could be refunded.

Using the method as described above, which I believe is also covered in eBay's Money Back Guarantee, I would realize that I have no need to actually speak with a live person because it's all automatic.

The fact that I, Jimmy, am also a seller has no play in this situation because I am Jimmy, the buyer, and am proceeding exactly as I should per the MBG.

Hey @smart_home_buyer . This is the type of error I'd report to eBay on social because you can upload screenshots. Send a DM to: ebayforbusiness on facebook or askebay on twitter or ebayforsellers on insta

Just tell them that an INR you filed as a buyer is appearing on your Seller Hub Overview Tasks panel even though you have no INRs open as a seller. Upload the screenshot and ask them to report it.

The other thing you can do is use the link on the Hub Overview page on the top right that says 'comments'. Click on that and report the issue because that comment will go directly to the developers.
