Sell an item refusal to accept image -comes up with "image error" then I can't proceed

Anyone else having this problem ?  Today 18/02/21, I have been trying for ages to sell an item on ebay but it keeps coming up with "image error" then I can't proceed to advertise the item. This is maddening !  What is the solution ? can anyone help please? Thanks Doug Whitfield.

Might be too large file size. Try to crop the image if that is the case.

Doug,  ebay is having trouble the past couple days in many areas that have caused glitches in numerous operations for sellers trying to navigate.  I am hitting roadblocks constantly and click refresh to continue listings at different stages. 

I can't pinpoint the cause as I am only 30 miles from ebay's corporate servers in Santa Clara, CA.  We can't blame our 64 degree daytime weather.  I forgot it was winter last week.

I get image errors once in a while when I list or the main image is blank when I tweak a listing for shipping price or if I find some other aspect of a listing I messed up.  The blank main photo is a hassle but only takes a few minutes to locate the item and reshoot some of the photos.

What is the size of your photo file, and what are the dimensions of the image in pixels?

Does you file meet eBay's guidelines?

Oddly enough when I have a file error while cropping it is always because it becomes too small.  I bought a motorized desk so that I can adjust (crop) my photos before I shoot them at a push of a button.

The main issue I have with photos is getting the right color hue on some photos but then some of the others aren't even close.

OK, thank you for that. If I crop them too small, (hard to know what size to crop too) then the image is again unacceptable. Cheers...

OK, Many thanks for your assistance, actually ebay told me some time back there were some issues that required technical resolution. I don't know if this is the same thing though.

Good question. I haven't checked the actual size, but that is certainly a clue. Trouble is, if you crop them too small they get rejected again as I understand it.
