As a buyer, I've been having difficulty getting to the right category when using the eBay search bar. For example, I type "cymbals" and press "Enter," and I'm taken to the:
- Musical Instruments & Gear > Percussion > Parts & Accessories
instead of:
- Musical Instruments & Gear > Percussion > Cymbals
This might be because I'm pressing Enter at the end of my search and it's picking up the text on the search it performs as I type. The first entry in that list that it displays is in the Parts & Accessories category. Nevertheless, there are some cymbals in the Parts & Accessories category, which makes it even more confusing. For a minute, I thought that perhaps people weren't selling cymbals on eBay (but that was just a fleeting thought).
I know how to modify the search and get to the right place, but this has happened with other items and I wanted to post the issue somewhere so it might get noticed. As a seller, I know I don't want potential buyers to be sent to the wrong category and miss my product. I also don't want to have to pay to post to more than one category simply because eBay search is flawed.
