I have purchased items thinking that the postage was free and then getting charged postage when I have won the item. I thought it was my mistake but it appears to be a software error.
Here is a listing example. If you search for 9 eureka rr bags and sort for lowest price the second listing says it is Fast 'N Free but the details that it charges postage? The item number is 182391475772.

I can confirm what you say.........here's the seller search:
He does list local pickup as free and there have been other problems with it reported.....so don't know if a tie in or not.
I would call ebay and report........

Not sure if it is a system glitch/error or not...
It's always been this way.
If the seller offers ANY free way to get the item, it will show up as "Free Shipping" on the listing.
There are hundreds of thousands of items just like this...
All that stamp ("Free shipping") is telling you is that there IS A FREE WAY to get the item, not that EVERY WAY to get the item is free.
It is confusing sometimes and definitely a pain in the rear, but it's always been this way 😕

Wow! I had no idea that a glitch like this existed. I am strictly a buyer---and I did not know that I should double-check that type of Listing to make sure it is correct. But, I certainly will do so in the future.
