Why is it that when i search for lowest price items, by clicking sort by lowest price
it won't show lowest price items, INSTEAD it shows: We’ve streamlined your search results to show you the best listings. See more results
Sounds like a class action lawsuit?!

I specifically make my prices the lowest price narrowing my profit margins, and ebay hides my listings when someone searches for lowest price. Can they legally not show the lowest price even though someone selects to sort by lowest price? It costs me money by limiting my exposure, by not showing lowest price items even though the buyers select sort by lowest price. It is stealing from the buyers as well, making them buy higher priced items when lower priced items are available.

The "Price plus shipping: lowest first" sort order provides filtered results -- often drastically filtered. And the option to "see more results" may not always be shown as it should. The filtering may vary depending on the keywords used.
If you encounter a drastically filtered result for a keyword search using a desktop browser, you should be able to use the "Feedback" link in the lower right corner of the search results to provide feedback on your search to eBay developers. The more users provide info, the more likely something is to be done about the over-filtration problem.
You can avoid that problem entirely by using a different sort order.
If you have few results, try sorting by "highest first", then starting at the end of the results, scroll up instead of down. This also avoids the problem of variation listings with low-cost variations appearing at the top of the lowest-first sort.
If you have a bookmarked or saved lowest-first search that you use a lot, you can avoid the filtration by adding the following to the end of the search URL, then saving the resulting search:
&_blrs=recall_filtering

I searched JUST by upc code nothing else...
A buyer should be able to search by UPC code and click search by lowest price and feel confident that they are getting the lowest price item.
This is a disservice to the potential ebay buyer for some results to be hidden until they click an unobvious "show more results" They should be confident that the results show the lowest price.
I certainly hope that someone files a class action lawsuit against ebay for their deceptive tactics.

Your suggestion that someone should have to sort by highest price and go look at the other end is ludicrous and again not obvious. They shouldn't have to modify their search by manually editing the URL with "
&_blrs=recall_filtering
That too is a ridiculous response.
IMHO there is NO appropriate response to this issue besides a class action lawsuit, or ebay to refrain from their deceptive practices. Buyers should be confident when they search by lowest price, that is what it should show period. Perhaps they should change it from "sort by lowest price" to "sort by what ebay wants to show you not by lowest price". It is deceptive and needs to stop.
