Saved searches not working properly

Hello,

I get daily emails from eBay with new results for my saved searches. However, since about a week some searches are no longer working properly if I use multiple filters.

E.g. I have keywords with filters like "Records" and then "Classical"; the results however will show all results for those keywords within Records but the second filter "Classical" is not applied. When I check the filters it will show that the second filter is applied, but in reality it is not and I get way too many results. It used to work fine before, but something must have changed on eBay recently.

Thank you.

Re: Saved searches not working properly

No response from eBay technical staff?

I have been trying to figure out what causes this. I noticed that when I check the results when the two filters are applied, it will say "records" and genre "classical". However, if I try to adjust the genre, the "classical" genre is actually no longer an option. Even if I do a new search, this genre is not available when using the app, only on my desktop computer.

Re: Saved searches not working properly

Having the same issue, which has resulted in my deleting the emails every morning because they're utterly useless. I have many for shoes and clothing set to my size. Why would I want to receive notifications of things that I couldn't possibly use.

Has anybody brought this to eBay's attention?

Re: Saved searches not working properly

The folks at eBay obviously couldn’t  care less about members. They never read let alone reply or respond to “Tell us what you think”.

I’ve bought and sold vintage vehicles and motorcycles on eBay over the last 17 years and have been dependent on daily listings of specific manufactured years of vehicles and motorcycles.

As of two weeks ago my searches for motorcycles 1903-1976 with daily results of 50-70 motorcycles changed to ALL newly listed motorcycles no matter the year of manufacture and generally totaling 400-500 motorcycles.

After 21 years of eBay membership I’m probably going to “throw in the towel” and quite purchasing and selling high end items over $4,000.00.

eBay has developed the worse possible business model imaginable.

Still having this issue, half of the emails that I receive are useless. I am going to bump this until it is resolved by eBay.

Re: Saved searches not working properly

Thanks to some work done by the user shipscript, it appears the filter problem may have something to do with the Advanced Search page; for some reason searches created or modified using that page have an odd term in the search address that seems to be causing problems lately.

If you have a search that does not allow you to use filters, examine the URL of the search and see if there is a term like this:

&_fosrp=1

If that term appears in your search address, change the 1 to a 0 and hit "enter" to load the search again. See if that allows the filters to work. If so, bookmark or save the new search to replace the old search.

If possible, avoid using the Advanced Search page to create your searches for the time being.

Re: Saved searches not working properly

I noticed that it is not even possible to narrow down a search for records using genre or other variables. It will just gave all results. It seems that Ebay is just not working like it should.

I don't see this; this is one example of my search that is not working: https://www.ebay.com/sch/Records/176985/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=&_ssn=yaronlivny&_sop=10&_...

Re: Saved searches not working properly

There is definitely something strange going on with searches.

At the moment, this search seems to be working for me:
