STORE OWNERS BEING CHARGED INCORRECT FINAL VALUE FEES

STORE SELLERS CHECK YOUR FINAL VALUE FEES ON THE TRANSACTION DETAILS!

I have a Premium Store on eBay and have for many many years. I was also forced into Managed Payments last August.

Since last night at approximately 6:30pm PST ALL of my orders are being charged an incorrect Final Value fee of 12.55% regardless of the category.

Instead of being charged 11.7% for Home and Garden

Instead of being charged 8.7% for Consumer Electronics that are NOT parts or accessories

Instead of being charged 8.7% for Musical Instruments and Gear Pro Audio

I was on the phone with Customer Service last night for nearly an hour just to correct a handful of orders.

It very definitely appears that eBay is NOT recognizing store owners and are charging the regular 12.55% across the board.

Anyone else having this issue or am I the lucky one and perhaps I should buy a Power Ball ticket?

Are you accounting for the sales taxes being collected by eBay.  Those are included in the calculation.  I did a quick check of both our stores and noticed many above 11.7%  Since we don't collect or track this information, it is difficult to judge.

Yes, they are charging the 12.55% on item plus shipping plus sales tax instead of the correct percentage.

This issue just started last night and the Customer Support person informed me that I was not the only one calling about the issue.

This is some type of Technical Issue and sellers are being overcharged.

Good to know.   Our system is only updated to that level of detail once a week. Generally on payout date.  We'll make a note and check it next week.

You are in managed payments so the final value rates are different and in most cases higher than non managed payments. The higher rate is supposed to me the amount you would have been paying PayPal to transfer the money. Despite being charged a managed payment processing fee, even though eBay took PayPal out of the loop they of course want the additional money that PayPal would have gotten.

Theoretically the increase is about .05 to 1 percent lower then what PayPal charged. However as eBay has looped all the fees together and do not itemize the fee's with the new structure, so as PayPal is out of the loop any future rate increases it will be impossible to tell how much higher or lower their rate is  compare to PayPal.

No they are charging many many sellers incorrect fees which started last night.

At 6pm I sold an item and was charged 8.7% which is correct

At 6:40pm I sold the exact SAME item in the exact SAME category and was charged 12.55%

This is a Technical Glitch

Same issue here. I was charged 12.55% for a tablet on 6/3, while the same item was only charged 6.55% a day before. Went through chat and promised a credit. However, it seems all the sales today (6/3) were still billed at 12.55%. Hopefully they can fix it as soon as possible and can correct it automatically so that I don't have to chat again to correct.
