I posted the other night that I had a chat session with eBay regarding the gallery pics not showing up. I use Auctiva for listings and photos, so I also read some posts in the Auctiva forum, where most sellers are convinced it is an Auctiva issue. I disagree and still believe it is an eBay problem. When pics are sent to eBay from a 3rd party program such as Auctiva, eBay creates the thumbnail Gallery pic. Thus it is eBay who is not creating the Gallery photo.
Below is the transcript eBay sent to me as documentation of my chat session with them the other night. Notice "Laurie" specifically states it is a bug eBay is aware of and is addressing.

no one knows how to report these technical issues to eBay
I really appreciate you bringing this to our attention. This is already a confirmed bug that my IT team is working to resolve, but the more reports of this we have, the better. I will add your report to the existing ticket. The issue is supposed to be resolved within 72 hours at the very latest, but our tech experts are usually much faster than that.
ok great. can you look in the technical forum and see the complaints and let those folks know? Or can eBay post a banner/note somewhere to alert people?
That's a fantastic idea. I don't personally have a way of posting something like that, but I will certainly push that up to my leadership.

Same issue and absolutely stunned that ebay now plans to charge another 2.5% to sell items on their platform, nearly a 30% increase in current fees.
This platform is doomed!

Just a FYI that you can revise your listings with new photos directly to ebay. Cumbersome but it works. I guess we can directly post to ebay in the meantime bypassing Auctiva. Nice job posting the ebay chat session as it was helpful.

I made 4 calls to ebay support about this issue. I was told that it was a problem caused by my third party listing service(Auctiva) and ebay denied all responsibility. I believe it is a technical problem on ebay's part because an item I had listed through Auctiva the first time posted successfully. Then more than a month later I posted the exact same listing from Auctiva and the header image failed to show. How could it be Auctiva's fault when the initial posting showed the header image? I know I can manually upload images directly to ebay but it's aggravating and time-consuming. I wish they would take responsibility.

This is standard for eBay to blame third parties and deny responsibility. It must be in their training manual cause they do this every time.

I can confirm this issue - I do not use Auctiva but we have a custom solution for listing items. So it is at least not Auctiva-specific.

This is NOT an Auctiva issue! Try entering a new listing using the eBay system AND THE SAME THING HAPPENS!
Further, I spoke with another seller who posts thousands of listings using Vendio AND THEY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!
eBay: FIX YOUR SITE and STOP BLAMING 3rd PARTIES!!!
