Promotions not showing in search results BUG. Showed up once, disappeared after revising the list.

I just launched a Buy 1 get 1 50% off discount, and it is not showing up after I revised the list. Is it a bug? It is showing for other sellers.

It's not a bug, and you're probably not going to like the answer.

Promotions don't always show in search. I've gone through extensive testing with my own account and with other sellers' accounts. eBay decides what they want to show, when they want to show it.

So you may see it come and go and it really stinks that it'll appear in search for another seller but not for you.

All that said, if you "just launched" it as your post claims, give it 24 hours to see what happens. It can take things a while to index so hope is not lost @shinyfirenight .

@wastingtime101 that is not the 'promotion' that the poster is talking about (Standard Promotions etc.) 

He/She is talking about a 'sale promotion' so your 2nd answer is the reason. Takes a day or 2 to 'show' but once a 'sale' is on, that listing will show it for EVERY shopper.

Buy 1 get 1 50% off is not a sale event (markdown). It is an order discount. It can also be a coupon, but most likely it's an order discount.

I checked the original poster's store and see nothing active on their store's sale tab, and I see nothing active on the listings themselves.

So either the seller did not set it up correctly, or as stated in my first post it just hasn't indexed yet.

That said, even after it's indexed sellers cannot control whether or not eBay shows the B1G1 50% info within search results which is what the seller was asking about according to the subject of the post. Once the order discount is indexed, it may or it may not appear in search results. It will appear on the listing and on the seller's store sale page once indexed.

Yes it is a store promotion, thank you for the answer waiting for it to show up or I will contact eBay to see.
