On June 27th I tried PL for the first time, eBay recommended around 120 of my listings, so I added them and started it. The next day I decided to add another bunch of eBay's recommended, bringing it to about 235 listings total. 235 listings out of 3000. I ended the campaign the next day, for some reason eBay started a new campaign by itself, I ended that campaign the following day. I sold 2 listings thru PL, sold 16 listings the regular way. It stretched over 5 days, June 27 - July 1.
The reason I ended the campaign is because buyers didn't buy my listings out right, they used coupons or took offers, I saw no reason to pay an extra fee for that. That is besides the point though.
I do this part-time, but I still log in multiple times daily and list a minimum of 5 new listings daily, and sell an average of 3 listings a day for the last 2 years. In the roughly 3 1/2 years of selling i've sold 3.4k listings.
Since I ended the campaign on July 1 i've only sold 1 listing...I've never gone more that 3 days max without a sell, and that was only in the very early stages when I barely had items listed. I can count on one hand the number of times i've gone 2 days without a sell these last 2 years. 1 day without a sell over 31 days is uncommon. Yes, i've had 3 bad days in June without a sell, but i'm on day 6 with only 1 sell, this is most definitely a major glitch from ending a campaign. Glitches don't affect everybody, we all know that, but i've read enough people complaining that their sells have fallen off dramatically after ending a campaign. eBay, please look into this, those of us affected by this glitch will eventually have no choice but to shutdown our paid stores if it continues. eBay, please fix this horrible glitch.
I want only help and constructive criticism, not the usual hate, taunts and other vulgarity that is so common in online chatrooms.

EBay is not here on the Community Forum to read your post.
I had a slow 4th of July week as well, as expected.

Selling has been like a roller coaster for me.
When I list new items I haven't been promoting...took off all my big end promoted listings for the time being.
And I added 'free shipping' in new listings in the title.
That really helped until sales knocked off yesterday.
I painfully decided to add free International shipping as well as domestic shipping in new listings.
Sellers are promoting their items (the big sellers 50,000+ items listed) very big....probably way over suggested rate.
I always had free domestic shipping...but adding it in the title helped for domestic sales...strange hun?
I manage on 'repeat buyers' which is probably 75+ % of my sales sometimes.
I don't do coupons or 'best offers'...International buyers don't really understand that.
Heck...I got an International seller 2 days ago...address all in Japanese...LOL
I hand write all shipping addresses and use postage stamps for my clients prefer that special touch.

Thanks for not bothering to read.

Hello, i've done coupons and offers almost since the beginning, it worked great for my part-time store. I would quit before adding free international, that must be extremely costly for you. I routinely get international buyers, June 30th was my last one, who happened to be from Japan.
I've had slowdowns in the past, but this can't be a slowdown, this is a major glitch. This is not about people not having money, aren't online much, etc. This is all about a glitch that affects some stores after they end a campaign.

I think lakefor94 read the post and I think they responded appropriately to this exact quote from your post.

I bid on auctions from USA sellers on eBay...I buy lots of USA postage stamps where I can get face value at about 50%...the better stamps I resell.
So my shipping is really cheap.
Have a seller selling forever stamps at $1.00 each with free shipping until I discovered even better auctions.
I can do tracking by using these high end stamps on my expensive packages.

"I want only help and constructive criticism, not the usual hate, taunts and other vulgarity that is so common in online chatrooms." - This right here is what I am referring to...and nobody knows if someone from eBay occasionally reads a post, but it is safe to say AI reads everything and perhaps it will get to the right person in time. I don't want to spend my time reading useless messages. Members who've had the same problems should say so here, members who can give advice on a workaround, members that see something wrong and want to help fix it, all kinds of possibilities, just please nothing negative or anything that derails this important to me topic.

*sigh*
I've thought about this...
and I'm, currently, trying to separate from the Promoted Listings "curse".
I'm suspicious my first "mistake" was getting a store.
Stick with it...it's taking a while to adjust.
I usually have a meaningful sale pop up and it reminds me why I bother with this...
...I'm going to go look at your stuff now...

Thanks for the heads up, I have a couple thousand stamps and was thinking about listing some, now i'm not so sure and will have to do more research.
