Receiving emails in error - "Your bid has been cancelled"

Recently whenever I am outbid on an item, when the auction closes I get an email saying:

"Your bid has been cancelled"

"The bid that you entered for the item [item number] has been cancelled. You can view the reason provided for the cancellation by selecting the (bid history) link from the individual item page."

Whenever I check, there is no cancellation or reason I can see, I was simply outbid and the auction has ended. I don't know why I'm now getting them these emails and don't see anything in Communication Preferences, is there a way to stop this? It always makes me jump as I think something is wrong when there isn't!

That is the standard message when a seller ends a listing you have bid on, or ebay removes a listing you have bid on. Do you have an item number as a sample of an item that indicates it was just simply sold?
