No matter how careful, no matter how many times I re-read a review before submitting, no matter how attentive I am to the rules eBay rejects at least 75% of my reviews. I try rewording them, but usually to no avail. Them I completely reword them, also usually to no avail.
eBay's system is totally screwed up! eBay doesn't deserve the time and frustration I am forced to put up with just to write a stupid review to help them sell more items. I have decided to completely stop reviewing products on eBay. Whenever possible I'll just refer to Amazon's reviews for the same item for my own edification before buying, and be done with it. I will, however, occasionally buy on eBay and do the product review on competing sites.
As both sellers and buyers we all know how eBay's software glitches are far too numerous to count. This is just one more in an ever-growing, nearly infinite list!

I've never been able to find a link or button to post a review in the first place, let alone posted one and had it rejected.

Links can be found on your Purchase History page for each purchased item, plus eBay often sends messages asking for your opinion in the form of a review after a purchase. You may get lucky when posting a review, but I've been on a long run of bad luck and refuse to double down on stupid any more. eBay, which won't fix this no mattter how many times I complain to them, simply doesn't deserve it.

I have never bothered with a product "review". Total waste of time.
I just stick to leaving feedback for my purchases.

If the system worked properly, like on Amazon, it is NOT a waste of time at all. It helps buyers find good products. Feedback is more about the seller. I lean heavily on Amazon reviews by verified buyers to make good product choice decisions.

Correct! I agree, but how can you find enough reviews by verified buyers on eBay for any particular item when eBay's system is so screwed up?! Based on my personal experience there must certainly be many tens of thousands of legitimate reviews being rejected all the time due to software glitches and/or bad programming. eBay's executives want eBay to be a major competitor to Amazon, but it's basic problems like this that will keep Amazon solidly in first place, while eBay continuously loses ground.

I have had a couple reviews not posted for reasons beyond me. I can't seem to figure out which of the rules I broke. Here is the latest one that was rejected (for a photography lightbox I purchased).... if anyone can let me know what I did wrong please go ahead and tell me:
"You get what you pay for.... or not
When I got this in the mail, I started to set it up and was completely unsurprised when I had to get a few clips to keep the tent from collapsing. So I have my tent up, with clips holding the box together (very crookedly) and after a day or two the LED light starts coming undone. I push it back up against the top and 10 minutes later it drops again.
I should have paid a few more bucks and bought from a reputable US Seller but I have a bad habit of going for the cheapest item hoping to score a deal. This time, I failed, skip this product."

I would guess it was because you were giving a "review" of the seller also.....which isn't allowed. Not sure if there is a word limit either.

Nothing in the guidelines says anything about a word count limit.... but you're probably right about mentioning the seller in the review. I'll change that and see if it posts. Thanks.

And you were right, I took out the last line and replaced it saying something else. 10 minutes later, it was posted. Good call and thank you for catching that.

Glad to hear you were able to jump through that fiery hoop eBay put in your way. There will be more coming in your future reviews, I assure you.
