No one can fix problems they don't have information about.......  there are still plenty of sales with delivery on ebay so apparently alot of people are still able to use the site.

If you post specifics:  what you are doing on what page and what happens, along with your browser and operating system......it may help get problems fixed........

I fully agree with you and have just recently posted for the first time on the Community Boards, specifically because there are many simultaneous problems affecting many areas of the eBay platform.  These are the result of system updates eBay rolled out a couple of weeks ago.  I am very frequent buyer and a Concierge member and I've lost all faith in the platform, technical support, and eBay as a company.  I have stopped buying.  I was also going to set-up a Sellers account for the first time, but due to all of the problems I would never do this now.

You can still walk with a broken leg and a crutch, but it's much harder and not fun.  You can't run with a crutch.  Buyers and Sellers are facing technical issues in many areas of the eBay platform simultaneously, due to recent updates eBay made a couple of weeks ago.  These problems make it necessary to contact eBay and waste many hours on the phone to figure out a work-around, which isn't always available.  I'm a frequent buyer and  have experienced the following problems in the past two weeks (none fixed yet): Watched Item Photos Not Displaying, Returned Item Photos Not Displaying, Can't Mark Returned Items as Shipped, Fully Paid For Items Showing "Pending Payment", System Running Slow, Script Errors, Unwanted Dynamic Ads (which is one of the main reasons the system is running slow).  Sellers are reporting many other problems.  Hope this helps!

You buy from one main buyer, regardless of how much you have bought in the last month. This does not make you a frequent buyer. You might wish to read the eBay User Agreement (link on the bottom of this page). You might be in violation of the Feedback policy, if this seller is affiliated with your account.

ebay is under going some immense changes. They are trying to keep pace with the marketplace. When you have an 18 month development cycle, this can be difficult, and can lead to complicated errors, on a market place as complicated as eBay's is.

I do not always like the changes they make, but I cope, just as the others here, cope to keep up.

Are you running an ad blocker?   that cuts down on much of the slowness.  What Browser are you using......some, like Explorer are problems?

Are you on mobile or PC?

I agree with Greg and echo his sentiments which I have been sharing on and off since last spring when many of us have tried numerous ways to get help as we were affected by the ongoing tech problems,  poor decisions in restructuring Ebay with the catalogue, failed tweaking and follow up and running a damaged machine/platform with confused Priorities. I recommend you read the Elliot investor letter that partner Jesse Cohn thoughtfully drafted. I am tempted to write my own letter to the executives of Ebay as someone in the antiques business for nearly 40 years and on Ebay for 20 as I feel first hand what is going on. It especially affects sellers with antiques and collectibles when the search engine is convoluted and not working properly with Ebay frankly, in my opinion, trying to handle too much of a load on their site without refining certain areas and reducing the amount of text people consume and ads & emails that are only targeted at supporting certain categories of sales.  If our buyers cant find their passions and treasures and have to have a lesson from a seasoned Ebayer on how to deep navigate Ebay then there is something terribly wrong and explains why many of us are having nominal sales. Before you condem Greg for his thoughtful and sincere sharing as a buyer which I appreciate, I suggest you bother to go back in his history as I have, and see that he has been a registered Ebay member buying from numerous sellers over the last 8+ years, actively buying across a few markets. When a buyer finds a supplier he likes that is a plus for him and certainly for the seller which means the seller is doing something right !  if you bothered to look at what he is buying it might lead you to better understand what trade he is in and be appreciative of a genuine repeat buyer &  collector as such.  We all want Ebay to succeed for both sides and everyone's benefit. I encourage Greg to not be discouraged from selling on Ebay as Ebay is designed to be for everyone and a positive experience. God willing, Ebay will act on its urgent matters- get it's malfunctions fixed, streamline the site and get its priorities straight. The ship needs to be righted straight away - trying to point for a new course daily without fixing the leaks is asking for the ship to sink and take down everyone with it.  People that take the time to report problems, share and work with Ebay towards the same end goal are trying to be part of the solution.

I've been on the eBay platform for many years and have purchased hundreds of items from many sellers (not one main buyer, as you wrote).  Not sure what you are referring to about the seller being affiliated with my account, as I don't know any of the sellers I have ever purchased from.  If you're happy with your eBay experience and coping with problems, that's great.  The posts here concerning many technical issues and my posts regarding my personal experience are meant to inform the community and eBay.  It's meant to help improve the system, vs. suffering in silence and not reporting concerns.

If you took my post to be a personal attack, it was not meant that way. You feedback page says your buying for this month was from one main seller. Quite a few items in fact. My response was to that fact.

Your quote - "You can still walk with a broken leg and a crutch, but it's much harder and not fun. " Those who are force into like situations, do. They seldom take the time to complain about it, they do.

Many members on this community complain about eBay. I do not like all that eBay does, but the fact is, if you are going to sell, or buy on this marketplace, you adapt to the rules of the marketplace. It is their ballpark.

Tomorrow, there is a Weekly Chat, on General topics. Sounds like the place to air your opinion, or discuss your concerns/issues. The Chat starts at 1 PT. For others that is 2 MT, 3 CT, 4 ET.  You can join the chat - https://community.ebay.com/t5/Weekly-Chat-with-eBay-Staff/bd-p/weekly-chat

No, I do not, and would not, work for eBay (like they would have me, right).

I'm still not sure what my buying history has to do with me reporting technical issues on a Community Board for Technical Issues.  I'm a former Customer Quality Manager for a top 4 semiconductor company and worked in Silicon Valley for years, very close to eBay Headquarters.  I met the eBay Leadership team last year (by invitation).  I've never posted on the Community Boards until this past week, when the eBay Platform became unstable and unusable.  There are many users on many different browsers and operating systems, so you may not be experiencing the same problems seen by other users.  Unless you have something constructive to say, with regards to the valid concerns users are posting here, I would not post anything.  If you are experiencing technical problems with eBay and are happy, then that's your prerogative.  Remember, "the Customer is always right."  eBay doesn't exist without it's customers and if it's customer base doesn't inform eBay that there are serious problems, they don't get fixed.

You aren't reporting anything to eBay in this forum. They may lurk (never seen any evidence of it though), but in spite of what the forum description says, it isn't a reporting venue.

I have nothing to add about your complaints. They are the same complaints always present, just with new specifics. Nothing is going to be done as a result of your activism here - it isn't on eBay's roadmap.

My comment about your buying history, was to point out that in buying from one main seller, you are seeing the same thing on all transactions. To me this counts as one purchase, not as a frequent buyer.

My comment about feedback was meant as a gentle nudge. To be more specific, in the last 90 days, you have received 124 feedback ratings from 1 seller. But you are not a seller, by your own words. This may look suspicious to eBay. This could look to be feedback manipulation.

My main point was to interact with eBay about the issues you see, not just vaguely complain to the other members, on a Member to Member discussion forum. The weekly chat is a good place to start.

Additionally, there are 'Comments' links on most eBay pages. There is also a icon that appears on the right side of some eBay pages, to voice your opinion, to eBay. We are told that real humans, not bots, read those comments. That icon appears like this...

I wish, just for a hot second that ebay would quit worrying about "ecommerce trends" and worry about ebay trends

There are many users on many different browsers and operating systems, so you may not be experiencing the same problems seen by other users.

You are correct..........and that's the reason specific information regarding that (and other specifics) is needed in order to solve a problem.  Problems cannot be solved if that information isn't available from people with the problem(s)......and the complaints will be ignored because they can't be replicated because of lack of information......

Right now (or at least recently), there are problems reported using the Ipad........  So if the Ipad problem is reported and corrections are being worked on for that.......we could tell you that........IF we knew your problem was the Ipad.  A general "nothing works" just can't be addressed.

I'm not sure what a Customer Quality manager is/was.......but I was a customer service manager for years for a physical service industry.  If I didn't know the customer address, there was little I could do, because I wasn't able to check to see if the truck broke down, whether a new driver changed the regular pickup time, etc.  That translates (to me) into this computing area, but for some reason, it doesn't translate to others in the same way; they expect a site as complicated as ebay to be able to instantly identify their particular problem from a general statement.  It just can't be done, unless there is a site wide problem and even then, they need some specifics as to what is happening.....

To: dhbookds

If you look through my posts I did give specifics regarding the technical issues I and others are experiencing.  I also have reported each one to Concierge Customer Support in detail.  I have experienced numerous issues over the years, but never so many at one time and impacting many primary functional aspects of the buying tools I use.  I sense a lot of misdirected frustration on this board and really want to assist you and others to achieve the common goal of eBay listening to you.   As a Customer Quality Manager I was responsible for resolving all customer technical issues.  My company was International and my customers were both U.S. based and International.  My position was part of my company's Leadership Team, so I do know a bit about handling technical issues, customers, and the corporate mantra.
