Problems with every thing on Ebay, do you even have Tech support any more?

They wonder why users don't use the website any more.

Greg, I can't see many specifics........except the problems......  For the slowness I suggested an ad blocker.......do you use one?

I also suggested that some browsers can be at fault or some operating systems.....but I don't see any answer to that........

eBay Concierge is fully aware of all technical issues that I've posted about, as they were all reported in detail over the phone, prior to me posting on the Community Boards.

You are correct, this is a venue where members can help each other with their eBay issues. But members have to provide specifics about their issues, in order for us to help. Just complaining about eBay does no one here any service.

I really appreciate your helpful suggestions.  I never requested assistance in my posts, but it's nice to see some like you trying to actually help with a technical problem.  I have an Engineering background (both hardware and software) and between me and Concierge, the technical issues I'm seeing currently don't have a fix or work-around.  If my comments back to you seemed direct in any way, it's because I'm seeing ridiculous posts directed towards me having nothing to do with my original post or technical issues.

Re: Problems with every thing on Ebay, do you even have Tech support any more?

this is to everyone on this thread:

I think it easy to find this section on community boards confusing and frustrating

when Ebay itself posts misinformation / contradictory  on the top of the main page of this board:

"About this Board

When you experience a technical issue on eBay, we want to know. This board is monitored  by staff and experts from the Community."

When we have no ability like other large websites to write in and report technical difficulties directly to a tech dept or get a tech on the phone to work with us on our individual accts it makes it very difficult.  Further, there is no willingness for ebay to post in a simple systems update area actual difficulties in real time people are having so we all dont waste time calling in. I had suggested this to ebay over 5 years ago - its not rocket science, unless they dont want to admit the volume of errors. In the last 2 days I waisted 2 hours on 2 phone calls trying to resolve issues that could have been handled in 5 minutes each.  My first was a listing issue that the rep was not aware because of language/knowledge barrier of something might that have been reviewed prior to listing. The review was unwarranted because the piece did not come from the country / source in question and was incorrectly flagged and had to be manually processed.  Then last night it took  1 hr instead of 5 minutes because the voice prompt system sent me to the wrong department - he wouldnt forward the call to the correct one until I insisted I speak to them directly after he said they couldnt help me - finally I got someone on the phone about this previously reported situation (due to website malfunctions) that explained they had no way to correct it except for me to wait 90 days for no tracking showing  because of UPS supposedly failing to scan a package when Ebay has deliberate disconnects with their platform now & ebay data/ ups label malfunctions on their side and I am being punished for it.  At the end of the phone call finally the rep disclosed that in fact other members are having problems with UPS and that I am not alone... I had already reported the various problems to both companies over 3 weeks ago.  It would have been much easier if the rep had acknowledged the difficulty up front, read through my notes and history and had department head make this a priority & get this fixed and so many of us need to use UPS shipping and this is going to wreak havoc.
My point is that some of us were under the impression that Ebay staff reads this and acted on it... or at minimum it can be used to let others know there are technical problems. Many cannot be fixed by community board members nor should they be. When we had massive problems back in the spring finally someone from Ebay came on and finally the depth of the problems were acknowledged by leadership.
I appreciate everyone that has been supportive and given constructive advice here - we are all swimming in the same ocean !

Re: Problems with every thing on Ebay, do you even have Tech support any more?

I fully agree with all you said and sorry you had to waste more time on the phone with eBay.  I'll do my best to get recent posts to the eBay Leadership Team.

I spent over an hour on the phone with eBay last night discussing yet a new technical issue (and some other concerns regarding inappropriate posts here on the Community Boards) .  I had returned some items to a seller that were "not as described" and the seller was able to process refunds for most, but was unable to for 3 items (stating they received an error message).  They were all marked as shipped and show delivered within the eBay tracking system.  eBay said that the attempts to mark for a refund by the seller resulted in the error message "Failed" for these 3 items.  They did not know why this happened or know of a work-around.  This issue impacts both the Seller and Buyer and if not noticed by me or other buyers experiencing this, may result in not receiving a refund.  I'm aware I can contact eBay after 2 business days to request the refund be processed, but I shouldn't have to do this and spend more time on the phone.

@kh-valeria

I’m writing to you after speaking with a member of the eBay Concierge Leadership Team (Chris - Austin, TX). Chris suggested I post here, as he didn’t know how he or I could message you directly.  I’m new to the Community Boards, but not new to eBay.  I had contacted eBay Concierge last night to report concerns regarding one of the Community Board members.  Chris called me back today to follow up.  Can you please private message me, so I can communicate with you directly.
