We noticed that our account was listed as a Business Seller, not a Shop so we looked into it and it appeared a Shop would be cheaper and better for us.
Trying to upgrade, it appears that we get the following message:
The Shop name that you entered does not meet our naming requirements. Learn more about how to name your Shop.
We contacted eBay's Tech Support and it appears this is a bug, because we do meet all the naming requirements. Whichever name we typed in, we always got the same error message.
Obviously, this is a major issue for us as we want to make our ebay shop profitable, but according to your tech support it may take up to 90(!!!) days to get this sorted.
I'm posting here to see if anyone else has had this problem and also to see if eBay's tech support can provide a swift solution (3 months waiting for a solution is a joke!).
